I was at the Harvard event with Joss Whedon referenced in one of your links. He definitely seemed pessimistic about the potential for the show to continue. Unfortunately, no one asked "What's happening with Dollhouse?" in the Q&A. Instead, they all tried to out-wit each other by asking things like, "can I have a job?"

If Dollhouse DOES get canceled, it'll be a real shame.. it's picking up & clearly, if Fox would have just let him alone, it would have been even better from the beginning.

When I found out Michael Sheen was going to play Aro, I had several reactions:

1) Really? Hunh...actually, that could work.
2) MICHAEL SHEEEEEEEEN! RPattz who?
3) Dammit, now I can't not see this movie. Michael Sheen, why must you be so awesome? (Oh who am I kidding, I was going to see it anyway.)

Also, somebody called the theatre where I work today to request that we show Little Ashes, saying "it's a small independent film about Salvador Dali" and I nearly lost my shit (for the record, it's a historic theatre, and we don't generally show first run movies). As far as I can tell, there's only one reason why somebody would be so excited about this movie, and it's not because of a love for art history.

So, in reference to the "Forbidden Fruits" Sweethearts:

I'm currently in this play and I was opening my tiny locker in the dressing room and the next thing I know that TERRIFYING picture of IntenseFace!RPattz/Edward Cullen is staring me in the face and it scared the crap out of me. My friend found them earlier at a Wally World and shoved them in there.
They are pretty tasty as far as Sweethearts go (and have hilarious names like "Orange Obsession" and "Tempting Apple" but OMG the purple and orange hearts ACTUALLY SPARKLE. It's INSANE/HILARIOUS. Especially the quotes OMG, for example, "Bad Guy" "Forks" "I <3 EC" and "Dazzle".

So now we know your mom's thoughts...what do you think of Adam Lambert? Lol, I'm personally a fan. Glam rock and all >.>

Re-release of the Potter spin-of books: DO NOT WANT. AGH. I'm already pissed that I don't have the money to buy the expensive copy of Beetle the Bard, and NOW these two pop up?! My mom won't let me if she finds out I already have the original copies.

EH? D: I didn't know there was a Nanny McPhee sequel! And...*sobs* No Colin Firth? :( I liked the original kids, too. Lol @ my disappointment. Watch me get all excited once it comes out.

Orlando as a police officer? Maybe if he got rid of that ridiculous mustache.

OH, that Hugh Jackman. That's really awesome what he's doing. But how to convince him in 140 words? Must think on this.

Slightly OT, but I'm so glad there's something on here about Richard Jenkins! Long story short, he got Johnny Depp (with whom he's working on The Rum Diary) to autograph a picture and sent it to a girl in my film class who just about died when my teacher (a friend of Jenkins') gave it to her. It made my day. (And hers too, I'm guessing)

All the while I kept telling myself that it wasn't true, that it wasn't real. It didn't matter that the director had actually been quoted, or that the movie studio made it official a few days later. Until it showed up on [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda's blog, there would be a small, teeny, tiny, miniscule chance it would turn out to be a mistake and Michael Sheen was not going to be in New Moon.

*sigh*

But here it is and I guess I'll be seeing this one in the theatre this November. Damn you, Michael Sheen! Damn you for being so awesome that I can't resist seeing your films no matter how questionable the quality!

I mean, we show old movies all the time, so I'm used to people calling with requests. This was just the absolute last thing I was expecting. I really had to stop myself from asking if she was a Twilight fan, because there are several ways that conversation could have gone, and each of them scared me. When I suggested that she call some other local movie theatres she said "oh, okay...but could you pass my request along anyway, just in case?" It was adorable.

omg YES, Spring Awakening is one of the best things ever. In life. (And this coming from a girl who is obsessed with all musicals.) Seriously, people, you need to go look it up. Hopefully the movie will do the raw but beautiful honesty of the show justice.

Also, MTV, get it right. Blake Bashoff is STILL playing Moritz, just on the National Tour instead of Broadway.

Okay, enough fangirling. Just had to get that out. Anyway, the re-release of the HP companion books is reminding me that I still need to go get Beetle the Bard. Also that I seem to have lost my copy of Quidditch Through the Ages, but that's alright since it gives me an excuse to buy the new edition!

I'm pissed about the special copy of Beedle as well. My boyfriend said he would get it for me for christmas, and I told him to pre-order it on amazon for $100 and he DIDN'T and then it came out and jumped up to like a BAJILLION dollars and we don't have a BAJILLION DOLLARS and so now...

...I just sort of rant-sploded all over your comment. Sorry. :(

eta: and maybe they're not a bajillion dollars... maybe just like 120 or something. Oh god, I'm running low on blood sugar.

I was saddened to hear about Marilyn Chambers. She may have been a porn star, but by God she had class.

And I did hear about Michael Sheen as Aro and I could see it. especially if he plays him like a vampire Liberace.

And, hey, I'm actually kind of excited about the Piranha remake! The original was awesome, but it'd be nice to see a creature feature where the menace wasn't a secret government bio-weapon gone amok.
