Among the many:
Ralph Fiennes (Richardson's costar in Maid in Manhattan and The White Countess)
"For everyone who knew and loved her, Natasha's death is a terrible, devastating loss. She was a star. A great actress, a beautiful woman, a fiercely loyal friend, a brilliant and generous companion. She was an adoring and loving wife and mother. She was unique. My thoughts and prayers go out to Liam and her beautiful sons, Micheál and Danny and to all her family. I cannot imagine a world without her wit, her love, her mischief, her great, great talent and her gift for living. I loved her very much. She was a supreme friend. I shall miss her deeply."

Helen Mirren (Richardson's costar in The Comfort of Strangers)
"Natasha was a great actress, a fantastic mother, a loving wife and a whirlwind of energy, with an infectious love of life expressed firstly by her wonderful deep laugh. Anyone who knew her will be in mourning today. I hope that Liam and her sons are helped in their pain by the great love and sympathy that is coming to them from people all over the world."

Meryl Streep (Richardson's costar in Evening)
"Tash was the warm sun in the center of a large constellation of family, friends, all of those lucky enough to know her. She is irreplaceable in our lives; she gave us so much, so generously. Her legacy is the love that connects us all."

I think we all need a laughing puppy now.

Well I know I'm totally going to play the timezone game and get myself to as many midnight release parties in hopes of catching myself a Sparklepire...

And who wouldn't want to pay $10 MOAR for a Sparklepire postcard made from the skin of a killer "pearlescent" paper???? ;)

I went looking for Alan Cummings' comments earlier today. I've been listening to "Cabaret" all afternoon. =/

The new Facebook design blows, and I'm hardly even ever there.

And thank you for the puppy. =)

Seriously! I'm so glad everyone hates the new facebook design. Haha.

I was willing to give it a try like the other million times they've changed it. But as soon as videos, photos, and comments people posted to me started to randomly disappear then reappear I lost my patience.

It's sort of weird to see WisCon show up here (WisCon is very much an IRL, offline thing for me) but thanks so much for linking to [livejournal.com profile] con_or_bust--not only do you have a substantial number of readers, I think as a whole, they might not overlap so much with WisConners who'd already know about the auction.

Also, if I can pimp: I know the woman who's making the handknit Dalek (http://community.livejournal.com/con_or_bust/14844.html), and can assert her knit daleks are serious quality. (I have one she made in my school colors. It is awesome and brightens up my dorm room considerably.) Totally worth every penny you spend on it.

How come the titles are so much sexier in french?! It makes me actually think they might be worth reading.

So I was going to go to a Borders release party in NYC (specifically the one by Madison Square Garden) and then I decided not to because a) I don't want pictures of me at a Twilight party to exist ANYWHERE and b) I have a Barnes and Noble gift-card that will make me feel better about buying the DVD at all, so Borders became expensive-sounding.

But now I hear there may be a Sparklepire there?
I am sooooo tempted. So tempted.

I don't understand why journalists have to make things sound so epic dynasty crap when its not. The MCR boys didn't read the Twilight books so they're not into doing music for them. Big deal. Then one says it sounds kinda like how people were into The Crow when they were in high school. The article turns that into:

"Is “Twilight” the next “Crow”? Would you like to persuade MCR to reconsider their boycott of the franchise?"

I don't think you were listening very well mr writer.

So it sounds like the only thing the Border DVD has that the Target one doesn't are sparkly postcards? I think I can live without those. Less stuff to get spread around my house and cause me shame.

And I'm not getting the "sneak peek at Penelope!" special feature. That movie came out last year. In fact, I first saw the Twilight trailer on Penelope's DVD. It's a cute movie and it has a good ugly duckling comes out of her shell, has adventures, accepts herself, AND gets the guy message. Much better than the you're nothing without a sparklepire message in Twilight.
