I've been cringing through the Bride Wars ads for weeks and after reading the local review which claims it makes its "chick characters - and by extension its chick audience - look like hateful, backward toddlers", I went off to my mom about movies like this and how terrible they portray women and how chick flicks can be fine in moderation but how this one just seems to be taking it too far. Then she told me that my sister and one of her girlfriends went to see it tonight *facepalm*

Yeah. Just... yeah. Every time I see the ads for that, it makes me want to cry. And I was talking to my wonderful, intelligent, female friends the other day, and I was expecting them to go off about the insultingness of this film, and they said, "Oh, it looks cute!!" And I'm like "... Really?"

Okay, that Boris Vallejo & Julie Bell art for John Carter of Mars is awesome, just like all their other works. Though, for my money, the best John Carter artwork I've seen was done by Frank Cho.

But every time I see artwork depicting the series that has been colored in, I always find myself growling in frustration. Why?

Deja Thoris is supposed to be a Red Martian, as in her skin is frickin' red! Yet every time I see her in art work, she seems to be colored like a lightly bronzed bikini model.

You've got it wrong, people!

ValleyWag is full of shit.

It was only the 1st Gen 30gig Zunes that had the glitch. The 2nd Gens (4, 8, 16, 80 and 120gig Zunes) are all fine.

And the 30gigs fixed themselves. Yes, the firmware that caused the glitch is probably still screwed up, but the 30gigs DO work now.

Also, the 30gigs are no longer being made. What's left in the stores is it.

I have this terrible obsession with Severus Snape. Like, I am too apathetic and lazy to honestly become obsessed with anything, and yet I love that man (character, stfu) with a passion that is creepy (not in a romantic way, though). And you know what makes it more awesome? We share a birthday, so it's like fate..

Of course, in my version of Deathly Hollows, as soon as Harry left the Shrieking Shack, he swallowed a couple of potions that he'd always kept on him and quietly disappeared into wizarding solitude, somewhere were no one knew who he was and he could live free. *sigh*
