Sherlock Holmes Invades Brooklyn (set pics of the three leads).
Sienna Miller Drops Out of 'Nottingham.' I am very pleased about this, because--I'm not saying I just hate Miller or anything, but Robin Hood (in its many forms) has always been one of my favorite stories, and Maid Marian is an important character to me, and... she's just not it.
Broadbent on Slughorn in Half-Blood Prince: "A Good Man, A Decent Man, but a Weak Man"; New HBP trio promo from LA Times; Toby Jones to Provide Voice of Dobby the House Elf Again for 'Deathly Hallows'; The Bravest Man I Ever Knew (Snape's birthday: SRS BSNS).

Hollywood PrivacyWatch: Hunky Vampire Edition, Part 1: Stephen Moyer; Hollywood PrivacyWatch: Hunky Vampire Edition, Part 2: Robert Pattinson; PrivacyWatch Special Edition: Robert Pattinson on Two Continents at Once. "In lieu of easy answers we send this Dueling PrivacyWatch Trial of the Century to you, the jury. Find Robert Pattinson." I say we all start sending in conflicting sightings. Like, dozens of them. You think I'm kidding, and I'm not even. As the elf dude once said: A DIVERSION!

Why Are Vampires So Damn Sexy? A question that has been asked (and answered) so many times I can practically recite the usual explanations. Bonus points, however, for bringing Octavia Butler's Fledgling into the mix--that's off the beaten track for this kind of thing, and I want to read it now.
NOW BACK TO YOUR NON-VAMPIRIC LINKSPAM.

Date: 2009-01-10 03:34 am (UTC)But every time I see artwork depicting the series that has been colored in, I always find myself growling in frustration. Why?
Deja Thoris is supposed to be a Red Martian, as in her skin is frickin' red! Yet every time I see her in art work, she seems to be colored like a lightly bronzed bikini model.
You've got it wrong, people!

Date: 2009-01-10 03:44 am (UTC)It was only the 1st Gen 30gig Zunes that had the glitch. The 2nd Gens (4, 8, 16, 80 and 120gig Zunes) are all fine.
And the 30gigs fixed themselves. Yes, the firmware that caused the glitch is probably still screwed up, but the 30gigs DO work now.
Also, the 30gigs are no longer being made. What's left in the stores is it.
I have an 80gig, NOTHING HAPPENED on New Year's.

Date: 2009-01-10 03:49 am (UTC)Of course, in my version of Deathly Hollows, as soon as Harry left the Shrieking Shack, he swallowed a couple of potions that he'd always kept on him and quietly disappeared into wizarding solitude, somewhere were no one knew who he was and he could live free. *sigh*
