A surprisingly good day. I think I definitely need to invest in a full bottle of BPAL's Siren for my oil diffuser when I have some moneys, because I felt very workative despite the joyless rainy gloom outside. Maybe it's the ginger? I have no idea.

Date: 2008-10-25 02:13 am (UTC)*snort* When I was eight, I wanted a Jack Russell terrier because I thought it would talk. I was disappointed when the only one they had at the shelter tried to bite my fingers off.
I love how the Jensen Ackles video is underscored with muffled laughing by the person holding the camera.
@ the Jennifer Hudson news- Christ, that's awful. When it popped up on Yahoo, I thought it must have been a car crash or something, but no, it's a random act of violence. And then I scrolled down to the comments, and now I want to punch someone.

Date: 2008-10-25 02:15 am (UTC)And my dog gets dressed up as Godzilla every Halloween. He's a hit with the kids at the Harvets Festival, so I'd say it's not that creepy. He's also a Min Pin, which might make him a bit more on the cute side by default.
The Jennifer Hudson thing is horrible. I can't imagine.

Date: 2008-10-25 02:20 am (UTC)Reading about the SLC shenanigans reminds me of my friend's mom. She went to a conference in SLC for no other reason than that she wanted to party. I hope I'm not the only one who finds it delightfully ironic that SLC seems to be quite the party town.
And I kinda sorta really want to see Soderbergh's 3-D rock and roll Cleopatra movie.

Date: 2008-10-25 02:38 am (UTC)Is Twilight actually popular outside English-speaking countries? I mean, people keep boasting about how its sold 17 million books since its release, but if you compare it to the Potter series (as so many are) that has sold over 400 million books in a seven-part series... that's not very impressive. Is it?
Is it bad if I have an unreasonable dislike-bordering-on-hate for the new Tinkerbell movie?

David Foster Wallace on the Charlie Rose show (http://www.charlierose.com/guests/david-wallace) -- this was my first exposure to him, actually, and on the basis of the interview (particularly his comments on Dune, David Lynch and movies in general) I went out and got Infinite Jest.
