Oh, wait. That's still just in my dreams!

P.S. Who is Garrett, again?

I hear Deadpool is on the shortlist of spin-off movies to be made if Origins did well at the box office (which it obviously did). Ryan was perfect casting and he really seems to love the character.

P.S. Garrett is Emmett's friend who comes to fight in the Cullen Sparkle Army and has a thing with Kate.

Is 'Wolverine' the most homoerotic superhero movie ever?

I don't know about ever --- it would have to beat Xavier and Magneto practically being married in the X3 flashbacks, Tony and Rhodey openly flirting in Iron Man, and the Handshake Scene in Watchmen --- but Wolverine and Gambit had great chemistry.

Date: 2009-05-05 09:40 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] celticangel76.livejournal.com
I loved Wolverine except for one thing.... Gambit couldn't keep his southern/creole accent for five seconds. That bugged me BIG TIME as I love that character. I hope to the gods that if they have him in something else they either get that actor a voice coach or cast someone else.

You know Josh Holloway was up for that at one point. Can't you just hear him saying, "Do I owe you money?"

Date: 2009-05-05 09:51 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] misachan.livejournal.com
Gambit's only twenty or so in Origins. Too old for Holloway, even if he'd be a badass Remy.

I'm used to Gambit's accent wandering. Everyone who writes him give him a different one.:)

This saddens me, just because they are part of internet history. Also, lots of ancient fandom stuff (including psychotic fandom stuff) is going to vanish forever. Mind you, I recently saw GeoCities described as, "the abandoned amusement park of the web," so I understand why it has to go.

My understanding is that there's some pretty graphic sex in it--I've heard it described but not actually seen how much is shown, so I'm not sure--and the majority of the fanbase, from what I've seen, is both really conservative and really sheltered. I've already seen some of them get upset about it.

Besides, this is the fandom that was all like "RUSSELL BRAND TALKING OVER RPATTZ IS A **CRIME**!!!" and sent hate mail to the guy after last year's MTV whatevers. They get riled easily, is what I'm saying.

Concerning the whole Twilight MTV thing, I'm distressed by the idiocy of Robert Pattinson being nominated for "Best Breakout Performance". Umm, hello? To quote Ripley: "Did IQs drop suddenly while I was away?" Have we really forgotten him in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire?!

You can't have two breakout performances in a single career!

Also, they invent a new category called "Best WTF Moment" and it's practically the only category where something from Twilight is not nominated? Seriously? "Sparkling vampire" didn't make the list?

[And you just know Forgetting Sarah Marshall will win because male nudity is apparently more disturbing than diving into a pool of human waste]

Lastly, am I the only one amused that the MTV movie awards has a new category--and it's "Best Song"? It's like like AMC announcing a 24-hour marathon of classic American movies.
