Agggh Alexandre Desplat is doing the New Moon score? I listen to instrumental music when I wrote, so its mostly film scores and I have some of his stuff - its beautiful, but I just can't imagine his Adagio of Death by Sparkling In The Vampire Capital (No, Really) or Elegy to A Fickle Romeo. The allegro to In Summary, She Did Jump Off a Cliff, I would listen to though

I don't know if this has ever come up before, but today I was looking on Amazon for your book for the ISBN to see if I could order it for my library (I can't, woe), and when I searched by your name, three things came up. The first two were your book and the repackaged book, and the third was The Gift of Fear. I know you pimp that book a lot, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out why it brought that up. Do you know why?

Personally I think they're going to tone it wayyyy down. I mean, I know it'll be (theoretically) the last movie and lots of people will already be committed to "finishing the sage," but can you imagine the moms and their reactions to their teenage daughters seeing that the way it was written?

Though the new Trick 'r Treat trailer is identical to the previous trailer, the very pleasant surprise is the end announcement of the film being released on DVD & Blu-Ray this October!!1

Though I'm trying to keep my thrill in check as Warner Bros has promised releases of TrT before. But two years of waiting and faithfulness may yet pay off! Sure, it's not the longest anyone waited to see a movie, but it's the longest I've waited to see a completed movie.

okay so don't quote me, but the weird hollywood rumor re: THOR that I had heard a while back was that they were looking at Kevin McKidd (Dr. McKillYouInYourSleep on Grey's Anatomy) to play Thor.

Camping with Harry and Hermione in Scotland for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Was it you who said at one point that the camping scenes would work best as a montage? I've been fully on board with that and was thinking that realistically that's probably what they'd do but seeing this headline reminded me that Steve Kloves' love for Harry/Hermione rivals that of Mr. Weasley's for plugs and batteries. Scenes where Ron writes himself out? Dude must be having a field day.

Date: 2009-04-21 04:42 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com
Yeah, I think I said that at some point. You know how Fellowship of the Ring has this montage between the gang leaving Rivendell and then whatever the next scene is? Yeah. Like that. Except shorter.

And yeah... I'm already sorry we don't have the OOTP screenwriter staying on.
