I loved the first Narnia movie, thought the changes were needed to bring it from book to screen, like 80% of Caspian and got through the other %20 because I was finally seeing a production of one of my favourite books. However, if they screw up Dawn Treader, I will freaking end them. It is my FAVOURITE book IN EXISTANCE and has been since I was 11. Seriously, I wouldn't mind some slight changes to it, maybe almost as many changes as Caspian (although I've always thought Dawn Treader would make a better big screen movie than Caspian anyway, with the pacing and it being such an adventure story and all) but I know Fox, and I don't trust them as far as I can throw them, and I have /no/ upper body strength. *growls ala Aslan*

I loved Prince Caspian and was far more entertained by it than LWW. They did the best they could with the material they had. The book itself is one of the more boring and hard to translate to screen.

And what the heck, Tudors? I don't remember the part of history class where Henry VIII ascended his throne of naked bodies and brooded. I must have been sick that day.

*raises hand* I loved Prince Caspian, and I've been a Narnia fan since I was a little kid and read the books obsessively over and over. I know it angered a lot of people that the movie was different from the book, but you have to admit, the book was kind of random what with the AslanParadeParty! running through town with random gods and whatnot.

I thought "Caspian" was as good as the first, for different reasons. The battles were intense and the whole thing was a lot darker (the castle courtyard scene?), but yeah, Aslan wasn't exactly warm and fuzzy this time.

I liked Prince Caspian a lot, actually. And Aslan's head games are in the book.
As long as Fox is simply funding it, and lets the creative team do their jobs, I don't much care that they have it now, except that it means Dawn Treader will get made, which is all I really want from this series. Dawn Treader was always my favorite.

I rather enjoyed the Caspian movie, whereas the book (years ago) failed to make any impression on me.

I'm not really sure we need another "The Thing." The first was rather silly in that way that much 50s sci fi now looks to us, but Carpenter's set a standard that will be very difficult to meet, let alone beat.

It's been a loooong time since I read the books, so I didn't have a problem with the changes, and Susan's characterization in particular was a HUGE improvement. Pretty boys with swords and pretty girls kicking ass...what's not to love?
