Headset Vince fighting Church of Scientology through ShamWow proceeds: "He filed suit against them in 2004 for ruining his movie, his life, his business, and being dickholes. I couldn’t find any information on the outcome of this lawsuit, but according to ESPN, Vince is still fighting the good fight. And he is using every dime he makes from selling ShamWows and SlapChop as well as all the proceeds from Underground Comedy to fight them." (What's a ShamWow, you ask? Why, it'll absorb your fucking DOG!)
T-Shirt Hell is closing with a massive flounce: "Anyway, rather than cater to the masses, I'm just going to stop making shirts. It's not enjoyable anymore and I have enough money to move on to something more rewarding. Maybe I'll start my own hooker farm or maybe I'll practice sleeping. Whatever I decide to do, it will be better than this."

Related: Kristen Stewart Hangs With Joan Jett, Preps For ‘Runaways’ Biopic; 'Ohio' movie cast may include Robert Pattinson, and apparently there's some professional jealousy involved? "Zac [Efron] and Justin [Timberlake] have been working for a lot longer than he has. There is a bit of jealousy there. Zac’s people want him to have the lead. And Justin’s people have asked that he get a lot of screen time.” Given that the movie is "based on the 1970 murders of anti-Vietnam War protesters at Kent State University," I'm sensing some award-bait jostling here.

After they had the token gay guy anally rape his wife on their wedding night, I figured that they'd alienated that paticular audience. Guess they want it back.

Date: 2009-01-30 02:21 am (UTC)I love Mary Louise Parker, but not only can I not see her as Hedda (Nora maybe), but I do think her style of acting clashes with Rickson's directorial style. I saw his staging of The Seagull a few months back, and I can see where they'd have differences.

Huzzah for Pop-Pop! Of course, I always figured either Cera showed up or about a third of the movie would be making fun of him somehow, anyway. He should know better.

Considering that I own 6 different editions of the books, including my original pbs from the 70s, I'd say I was a HUGE fan, and I loved the movies. In fact, I think the movie improved Prince Caspian, and was far better than the book.

The wolf is cool, I'm just not a fan of the heart, but you can totally buy a Swarovski cristal and replace it! Sure, it's expensive, but it would look amazing and take away the "white-trash" factor of the bracelet. http://www.swarovski.com

Date: 2009-01-30 03:21 am (UTC)1) Lack of Aslan. Pontificating lions have never been a turn on.
2) Hot male actors. Barnes' accent aside, he got prettier as the movie went on.
3) Caspian/Susan romance hooray!
4) The storyline about Peter not being able to readjust to life as a child after ruling a country as a king really struck me, and the children's joyful return to Narnia was just charming.
5) Edmund the Awesome
so yeah.
