I HAVE A GOLDEN BATMAN TICKET, YAY! We're driving out to Trussville for a 9:30 am showing on Saturday, so it will be an adventure. An adventure with a lot of caffeine.

However, I was dying of a horrendous headache most of the afternoon. I stepped up from 150 mg Lamictal to 175 mg on Monday, and immediately got a headache. Like, within half an hour of taking my meds. Today: same thing, only worse. Obviously, I need to step back down for a while. But there's another possibility: when I cut my Zoloft in half at the beginning of this whole process, my mild, daily headaches immediately stopped. Once again, I'm wondering if this is not Zoloft bringing out the worst in potential Lamictal side effects, and that maybe if I dropped the Zoloft down again--from 50 mg to nothing? I'm already cutting pills in half, I'd reduce them to dust if I cut them into quarters--and kept the Lamictal at 175, I'd be fine. I think I'd have to call my doctor before I tried that, though. I've got to do something, though, because I've been wandering around moaning dramatically all afternoon.

OMG that woman with the cell phone! I would so CHOKE A BITCH.

That happened to me when I went to see The Mist...right at the very end scene where they're all in the car...the theater was DEAD SILENT and this guy's phone rang. You could hear both him and his mom on the other end of the phone talking about spaghetti for dinner and the dog eating peanut butter, and they just yakked away and ruined that whole very emotional scene. He finally hung up and some huge guy in the front yelled, "Thanks a lot, MOTHERFUCKER."

You should post a link to Joss Whedon's Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day. It's in three parts that will only be on the Internet from July 15-17 before it's taken off forever (to be possibly released on DVD later). Joss Whedon is experimenting with new ways for writers to make money, that don't involve Hollywood, in response to the writer's strike.

I rejoice in a Wicked movie. I hope it's done right (and I'm talking how Sweeney Todd became a FANTASTIC movie musical). But even if it's bad, I know I'll still see it. To be honest, I hope they don't cast Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth in the movie. Little "oh hey wasn't that them in that crowd in that one scene" cameos are ok, but I don't think it will work if they're in their original roles.

Date: 2008-07-16 04:46 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] queenofattolia.livejournal.com
Neither will be cast because both are pushing 40, the kiss of death for actresses in Hollywood. The roles will go to actresses in their 20s, who will probably be horrifying.

Didn't De Vito do the Matilda movie? I adore that movie so much, so I am hopeful he won't pillage and destroy what little is left of my childhood by making a hash of the Charlotte Doyle movie. I loved more or less all of the Avi books.

Anyone else quaking in fear at the thought of Wicked fandom getting larger and stronger by feeding on the inevitable movie wankage? The Wicked people are, to me, as scary as the Twilighters, what with their Idina vs Eden vs Shoshanna wars and assorted other shenanigans.

If I’d been at that performance of Cyrano, the headline would have been “Kline Death Scene Ruined by Real Thing,” because I either would have had an aneurysm or I would have killed that woman with the power of my mind.

More seriously, I’ve always considered the end of Cyrano one of my personal Voight-Kampff tests, so apparently we have at least one skinjob on the loose and attending plays.
