Two things first:

1) After a few nights of feverish procrastination copypasta coding, I finally have a Secret Life of Dolls read-through for you. You can jump in anywhere you want and, by means of hitting "next" or "previous" as you wish, read the entire saga from beginning to end or end to beginning. That's all you right there.

2) Trufax:
@cleolinda: Okay, since at least six people will have my back: the best song from any Grease movie. Yes it is. YES, IT IS. http://tinyurl.com/dfu6w4
@cleolinda: Yes, that is Michelle Pfeiffer riding a ladder. I think this argument is done.

But Disney has marketed Mulan as a Princess in her own right - though a B-list one. She's rarely featured along with the A-team of Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Belle. Still, according to the Disney marketing machine, she's a Princess.

First, Cool Rider is the shit. Second, thanks for the read-through. I want to get my TwiMom to read these (she liked your Movies in 15 Minutes of Twilight) and having them in order will help. Plus, all I have to say is "Edward's in it" and she's interested. I'm considering showing her the TwiMoms message board and explaining how a board works and how to post on one. She already watches the movie nearly everyday and at least this way she can be social with her own kind.

Related: I am seriously afraid she's going to wonder why everyone's always being so mean to Tonner Edward.

... awww? Like, seriously, I don't know how to describe the sound I just made. It was mostly tinged with pity? I'm not sure which one of you it was for?

(Well, tell her that we're gearing up for his redemption arc. Which is true. It'd be interesting to see how someone who sincerely likes the Edward Cullen character would react to the Edward doll characters, though.)

I will completely back you up on that being the best song from Grease! I don't know if it was just that I watched it more frequently, but I would totally pick Grease 2 over the original when I was little. I might be weird, I don't know.

You're also right that there aren't going to be any more original movies ever, ever again. Studios think its smarter to bank a lot of money on the 11th something or the reboot of this rather than present an audience with a brand new idea. Balls to that, I say.

Grease 2 was one of those movies that got run to death on HBO back in the day so I think I've seen it at least 40 times. Michelle was the shit doing that song, and Maxwell Caufield was the hotness back then (not so much now. The years have not been kind to him).

Meanwhile, I love this from the article on muscle-bound RPattz:

Lutz tells the New York Daily News, "Taylor been training Rob a lot, and that's why he's got such ripped abs..."

And thus a thousand slash fics were launched.

Date: 2009-06-03 02:48 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com

Some of us are more than hurt over the mess that was X-3, some of us are a little upset, and it's going to take a lot more than an "I'm sorry" for some of us to get over it.

A proper Dark Phoenix movie for starters, one without a bunch of random characters thrown in, one where Phoenix doesn't die from a little stab wound.

And I can't seem to upload any new userpics even though I have another slot free, so I'll have to use Willow as a powerful redhead substitute.

My friend and I discussed this at length today, and came up with: spying, policing in a world like ours but with monsters, being an astronaut (time-travelling if at all possible), archaeology... I know there are more, and whatever Pixar does will be awesome. Still, I don't have anything particular against princesses- I grew up right smack dab in the middle with Belle, so maybe that's why. Although she's not technically a princess...
