We're going to need a bigger post

So... yeah. I didn't get anything done today.

'Twilight' Countdown: Catherine Hardwicke talks about the meadow and making Robert Pattinson 'dazzle.' Okay, people, "dazzling" is a completely separate phenomenon from "sparkling." Let's get these things right.

("I was just begging and begging, 'I’ve got to shoot a meadow. Something that looks like a meadow. Or people are going to stone me in the streets.' " You think Hardwicke's exaggerating and she's so incredibly not.)

Yet another media outlet is too lazy to think of its own interview questions. (To be fair: if I had to interview pretty much anyone, I'd run screaming to y'all for help. On the other hand: I AM NOT A TRAINED JOURNALIST.)

Stephenie Meyer: 12 inspirations for 'Twilight' (Can Iron Man really count as an inspiration if it came out just two months before her last book?).

Also: I cannot believe that I first heard that Barack Obama would be our next president on the Daily Show.

That's the way I got it, and I couldn't be anymore happier that I heard the news from Jon Stewart. I love that man.

Me too. It's like getting good news from a friend, even better than usual.

He's the man who so eloquently comforted me after September 11th - it's only fitting that he should be able to give us such amazingly good news as well.

...unfortunately, I was informed by Wolf Blitzer, but I take solace in the fact that the man's given name is Wolf motherfucking Blitzer, and that is kind of cool.

I have to admit, I am a little sad that we were watching CNN when the news broke. While Wolf Blitzer and his beard are fine and all (but the holograms are not), I would have much rather heard it from Jon and Stephen.

I got it from him too. I think it's so appropriate; he's the one that's gotten me through the last 4 years. He was the one who was there to point out the inconsistancies, the lying, and the plain old bullshit. He was the one person on the news who gave a voice to our anger and frustration with the Bush administration.

He helped me through the bad and I am so glad he was the one to bring the good.

Exactly. I can never stand to watch regular news or political shows because all they did was make me annoyed, angry, depressed, or some other negative emotions. With Stewart I could see all that but be laughing to myself about it. Otherwise I'd feel all bogged down all the time. I'll definitely still be watching four years from now.
