Happy Halloween! Again!

A band of trick-or-treaters just came to our door and sang my mother a song about pulling down her underwear. SOMEHOW, THEY ESCAPED WITH THEIR LIVES.
("What was that about my underwear...?" "When I was a kid, it was something about smelling your feet." "Oh...?")

Stan Lee's Acting Talents Finally Put To Good Use with Poe's "The Raven." Actually, I kind of wanted to post a reading of "Annabel Lee" in the last entry with the short-short stories--I've read it in public before, although I guess me reading it does put sort of an unexpected sapphic overtone on it ("I Buried a Girl and I Liked It"?)--but for some reason, I just could not get my mouth around the word sepulchre today. I can give you Christopher Walken's reading of "The Raven" instead, however.

Twilight (yes, there's a lot of it, WHATEVER): I re-uploaded the Rome clips; Better-quality Rome footage on YouTube for now, from
bella_stella78 (plus a transcript). The thing I still find the funniest about the Rome footage is that Bella arrives at the house (okay, maybe the funniest thing is Edward speed-mo-ing over to open the car door for her), and the Cullens are just cheerfully cooking dinner for her. I mean... what? I would rather just not do dinner at all than try to have it with a bunch of vampires who can't eat staring at me. "You look THAT LOOKS delicious." AND THEN IT TURNS OUT SHE ALREADY ATE.
(Let us not even speak of the flying-squirreling. There was better wire work in Hamlet 2, y'all.)
(Defamer: Leaked 'Twilight' Footage Nearly Drowned Out By Italian Shrieks of 'OMG!' "We'd pegged this movie as 'The Dark Knight' for girls, but even Bat-mania was never this loud.")
Who's Buying 'Twilight' Tickets? ("Personally, I am more interested in seeing how Twilight does at the box-office than who gets nominated for the Oscars this year. It's obvious it's going to be big, but impossible to tell just how big"); Twilight cast in Rome and Madrid - Videos; Pattinson and Stewart photoshoot taken in Rome (okay, Kristen Stewart needs a little sleep herself); 'Twilight': New Jacob pics; Show Us Your ‘Twilight’ Halloween Costumes!; STAND BACK, THE TOUR OF TERROR DATES HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED.

Which is also how I described the stroke of midnight at the Deathly Hallows release party, actually. For some reason I just love watching people make fools of themselves over something. You know, says the girl who had a hand-turned holly wand in her purse the whole time.

Christopher Lee would be pretty awesome. He has a distinct voice like Vincent Price. My parents and Oma and Opa have always called me Annabel Lee and then my AP English teacher started calling me Annabel Lee because he thought I was really really emo.
I happen to love E.A Poe's poetry but he has a lot of critics in that specific area.

Anyway...
I'm having an lolparty for the Twilight premiere. I'm planning for it now, including a mock scene of Edward eating Bella's uterus.

I saw Zack and Miri Make a Porno (while dressed as Bella) and I enjoyed it in a particular kind of way. I'm a Kevin Smith fan to start with and Jason Mewes and Jeff Anderson crack me

And thanks for the link to Walken reading The Raven! I'm definitely going to have to check that out later, when I
am putting off homeworkwake up.Oh, also, on the weird-Halloween-costumes-note: My friend's Geology TA dressed up as a baked potato. I'm not even kidding. He like, wrapped himself in tin foil, and had a thing that looked like the potato inside with butter and shit. He walked into the lab dressed like that, and so she took pictures; I cracked up, it was hilarious.
