A band of trick-or-treaters just came to our door and sang my mother a song about pulling down her underwear. SOMEHOW, THEY ESCAPED WITH THEIR LIVES.

("What was that about my underwear...?" "When I was a kid, it was something about smelling your feet." "Oh...?")

Stan Lee's Acting Talents Finally Put To Good Use with Poe's "The Raven." Actually, I kind of wanted to post a reading of "Annabel Lee" in the last entry with the short-short stories--I've read it in public before, although I guess me reading it does put sort of an unexpected sapphic overtone on it ("I Buried a Girl and I Liked It"?)--but for some reason, I just could not get my mouth around the word sepulchre today. I can give you Christopher Walken's reading of "The Raven" instead, however.

Was it the following?

Trick or Treat
Smell my (our) feet,
Give me (us) something good to eat.

If you don't,
I (we) dont' care,
I (we'll) pull down your underwear.

Ah, the classics.

so, i only noticed in that kstews on the couch when wardo is playing, which is really... strange looking.
i watched that interview where paddywagon is asked what nickname he's like and he came up with "spunk ransom." except spunk is slang for baby batter, so tween girls are screaming "I LOVE JIZZ" all over the interwebs. touche rpattz.

it works out perfect that todays the blog burfday, cause the tshirt can be your very belated present.

OMG, the screaming in that Twilight clip was unreal! It was like listening to girl watch the Beatles or something. I'm a little afraid to see this in the theater now. That and because the clip was just terrible.

Hee, yeah. You see what Robert Pattinson meant now when he said the screaming at Comic-Con sounded like "what you hear at the gates of hell."

It was like listening to girls watch the Beatles or something.

Which is also how I described the stroke of midnight at the Deathly Hallows release party, actually. For some reason I just love watching people make fools of themselves over something. You know, says the girl who had a hand-turned holly wand in her purse the whole time.

Hmmm?Stan Lee?! If they say so.
Christopher Lee would be pretty awesome. He has a distinct voice like Vincent Price. My parents and Oma and Opa have always called me Annabel Lee and then my AP English teacher started calling me Annabel Lee because he thought I was really really emo.
I happen to love E.A Poe's poetry but he has a lot of critics in that specific area.

Note to self: When Cleo says she wants to share Twilight clips, what she really means is "I WANT TO MELT YOUR FUCKING FACES OFF, RAIDERS STYLE. LOOK UPON THE DAZZLE AND DIE, BITCHES. MWAHAHA!" I can't remember the list--is she going by herself to DC? Because if it's just her, you could probably go and come back out of it alive. If any of the guys are coming, take the earplugs. If it's Pattinson--take riot gear, and God help you.

Is it weird that I noticed Edward doing almost exactly the same move that Bill did a few weeks back? Like the whole speed-mo to open the door. I could've sworn it was like the same way Bill opened Sookie's door after Fangtasia and glamouring the cop. I will laugh so hard during this movie, when I'm not drooling over Jacksper of course.

Date: 2008-11-01 02:46 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com
Honestly? I noticed when Bill did it, because I was like AHAHAHAHA JUST LIKE IN THE BOOK WHEN EDWARD DID IT. Except that True Blood made a bigger deal out of Bill startling Sookie, I think, whereas in the Twilight clip it seems to be more of a throwaway detail. But then, I probably have an unofficial degree in comparative vampirology by now, just from writing all these recaps and things.

WHAT IS THIS MOCKERY THEY ARE CALLING HALLOWEEN NOWADAYS?

Only ten houses in a thirty-block neighborhood were giving out candy. I don't know if it was because we live in the Bible Belt or what.

Anyway...

I'm having an lolparty for the Twilight premiere. I'm planning for it now, including a mock scene of Edward eating Bella's uterus.

I knew it was gonna be a good night after my friend linked me that. I love Tim Curry, oh-so-much. The cape just made it full of win.

And thanks for the link to Walken reading The Raven! I'm definitely going to have to check that out later, when I am putting off homework wake up.

Oh, also, on the weird-Halloween-costumes-note: My friend's Geology TA dressed up as a baked potato. I'm not even kidding. He like, wrapped himself in tin foil, and had a thing that looked like the potato inside with butter and shit. He walked into the lab dressed like that, and so she took pictures; I cracked up, it was hilarious.

I'm confused by this interview and by Kristen Stewart in general. And after our lovely little "Twilight is a metaphor for abstinence" from Robert a couple days ago, I'm just wondering if these two actually talked about the book while filming, and their characters, like at all. Cause it seems they're on opposite pages. Sort of.

Or maybe Kristen is just trying to be as polite as possible about this whole crazy Twilight situation erupting around her...
