Since you haven't, I would like to clarify here that even I don't know what the hell pineapple on the burgers has to do with anything.

That really did make me laugh, because it sounded like the dumbass kind of thing I'd want to do in a similar situation, except I'd only want to do it if I thought no one else would get it. Like, "it's just our personal joke here at the hospital."

If it was some dumbass thing people actually flocked to come see, I would still do it. I would just start charging money at that point.

The city is a god damn THEME PARK now. The whole thing. It's like those places in Japan that pretend to be ancient villages and sell you lots of food. Forks now plays the role of itself in a fictitious universe and sells you lots of Bellastrami.

The burger at Sully's, called the Bella Burger (I don't need to explain that do I?), has pineapple and Swiss cheese on it (plus a "secret sauce"). The very idea is gag-inducing.

Oh no, I know--I read whichever article about the restaurants that it was. I'm just saying, the word "pineapple" isn't even mentioned in the books, so I have no idea why they thought that would symbolize Bella or whatever. If they had the Freesia Burger, which sounds about as appetizing, I would at least get it.

Yep -- born and raised in Mobile, college in Huntsville. My sis graduated from UAB a few years back. I'm hoping to get back there (or in the vicinity) soon -- this is my last year of grad school and I'm looking for academic jobs in the South. :)

Oh, weird. I thought it had to be a detail from the book. Now it's just another wacky Twilightfen thing to laugh about.

Twilight fandom is my fandom now -- I mean, I'm a fan of the fandom itself, not of the books. Seriously, it's better than anything on television at the moment. ;)
