I LOVE the facebook/Hamlet thing. After reading it, I changed my status to "Claire loves flowers. Flowers flowers flowers flowers flowers. Oh, look, a river"

Stiller, Black & Downey Jr. on 'Tropic Thunder'

I read that as "Stiller, Black Downey Jr." which would be an oddly appropriate, if not blunt, headline.

Have you heard of Vitamin String Quartet? They have a violin and string heavy version of most famous songs, INCLUDING Misery Business. I recommend them highly. Their Avenged Sevenfold album was NIIIICE.

I knew there was a joke in the longass cast list, but couldn't think of one. As always, you did not disappoint. Honestly, it must be too long since I've read 'Dorian Gray' because that seems like a lot of roles to me. Hmm.

Why is it that all of these media articles on Dollhouse act like it's a purely original concept? It's been done at least twice (not the EXACT same, naturally, but close enough) in manga, and the TV series The Pretender has several similar elements.

Honestly, TV Land: just because Joss Whedon is involved doesn't mean it's never been done before.

Y'know, Cleo, in the time that the original Hamlet was written, the line "Get thee to a nunnery" actually meant "Go work in a brothel." (well, in layman's terms)

Thus, spake Hamlet to fair Ophelia, "Youz a ho fo' sho."

I rather liked the event, "A Play That's Totally Fictional and in No Way About My Family."

I'm going to go change my status to "thinks this curtain looks like a good thing to hide behind."

Oh man...even though I honestly enjoy the Twilight series, I am still in hysterics over those convos. Seriously, I was laughing so hard (on the inside, because I was sitting in the library reading them and I believe they frown on loud noises) there were tears.

Here's what I don't understand...why, why, WHY do they even have baseball uniforms? It's not like they're a team and they enter family tournaments. In the book, it was just something they did to have fun and there were no uniforms! The fact that they have uniforms (which Edward hand stitched, look at all the detail he put into them! Not a single stitch out of place! He made those nifty hats, too!) just makes them look...there is not even a word for the extent of the lameness. *headdesk*

(And I'm sorry, but I've got to ask: did you see the Newsweek interview with Smeyer?

Has there ever been an Edward in your life?
No, no, I wish. I've had very typical, normal, human relationships my whole life.

No vampires?
No, none of that goofy, swoony stuff. I was always a little grown-up for my age.

re Zack Snyder

He really seems to be a strange guy (making strange movies). I saw an excerpt from a panel from Comic-con that had, among others, Zack Snyder and Kevin Smith. Snyder gets asked a question and he's just "Look, ... I mean, ... listen, ... ahm, ... it's kinda cool, ..." struggling to come up with a full sentence for about a minute. After a moment of silence Kevin Smith says "Thank god your visuals are so strong".
