Date: 2009-04-09 11:29 pm (UTC)But honestly, casting two actors I like, and for that matter including my favorite of the Greek gods (Hades) in the film...that's just playing dirty pool, makers of the film. I am ashamed for you. But I may just have to see your stupid remake after all *sighs*

Somebody is paying $695 for that Bella repaint. What the hell?
And if there are these artists out there who can more accurately represent these movie/character dolls to make them look like the actors? Why aren't they using THESE people to do the painting? That chick's and Noel Cruz's dolls are amazingly accurate.

Date: 2009-04-10 12:37 am (UTC)Sometimes, absolutely. The first time I saw Zoolander I thought it was ridiculous and stupid. About a year later, I saw it on tv, and I thought it was ridiculous and AWESOME. It's now one of my favorite movies, and I watch it at least once a month. I call this the Zoolander Effect; I'm hoping it holds true for Tropic Thunder.
The link you posted on your Twitter earlier, about the Star Trek cologne? I've spent a good chunk of the afternoon coming up with other catchphrases for the Red Shirt Cologne. My nerd quotient is skyrocketing.

Date: 2009-04-10 01:26 am (UTC)I do have to say that I fucking loved Pitch Black and Riddick. Never mind the abrupt shift in genre, tone, scale
and quality, they were both very enjoyable movies. I liked that for once I didn't feel guilty rooting for a villain in Pitch Black. Riddick was amazing in an "awesomely terrible, but why could'nt someone with a clue have written this" kind of way. Another Firefly movie? Could be beautiful, could be fantastic, could be... mediocre. I don't know.(As an aside, my giant crush on both Vin Diesel and Summer Glau is not helping..)
