It's Official! Chris Weitz To Direct 'Twilight' Sequel: Helmer Reassures Fans. Includes a "signed" public letter to that effect. Godspeed you, brave soul. And ask your leads if you can share their stash.

Slow seduction of ‘Twilight’ fans has its roots on the Internet. *takes notes*

Rolling Stone pokes the crazy, pulls choicest bits for your delectation: "We had hours of enjoyment this week thanks to the efforts of Robert Pattinson fans and Jonas Brothers fans as the two sects attempted to out-crazy each other." Is the "Josephine" comment... a poem? Seriously?

The Twilight Before Christmas.

If 'Twilight' Was 10 Times Shorter And 100 Times More Honest.

Why I'll stick my neck out for Twilight, featuring a Fifteen Minutes shoutout.

It's worse than just a pillowcase, you guys: DO NOT WANT.

That bedspread has given me the fantasy of meeting RPattz somewhere, striking up a conversation, completely casually, like I have no idea who he is, inviting him back to my place, leading him to my bedroom...and having that all set up on my bed. Just to see the look on his face.

Yeah, even my fantasy self thinks it would be more fun to torture the poor guy than sleep with him, if given the chance. Who wants to sit next to me on the Bus to Hell?

I have to say, considering that the books are all about abstinence, basically giving the fangirls a chance to sleep with Edward Cullen seems like a bit of a mixed message.

Eee, it's by Rod Hilton! I didn't know The Editing Room was still going -- I still had the old URL bookmarked from years ago (probably 1999 or 2000) and that site hadn't been updated in forever. I love The Editing Room so much... and his Twilight abridged script is hilarious.

What the shit?? (re: the ProJo article on ONTD) What is this new "internet" you speak of? And I see, the Lexicon "broke from overuse." Here I thought I had the whole story.

The only movie related merchandise that could be more horrifying than that Edward blanket is an Arachnaphobia bedding set with a 5 foot tarantula on it. With 'realistic' fur applique.

Also, clearly I do not read my JF friends list often enough, because I had no idea there was a sparkle community there. *joins*

It's always bothered me that SMeyer reads fanfic. I don't know why. I can understand taking a peek out of curiosity, but reading one that was so long? That's narcissism to the extreme. Oh wait, I forget that SMeyer = Bella. lol Carry on.

Now, if she wrote some epic OOC fanfic...oh wait...nm. *points to Breaking Dawn*

Has she publicly admitted to reading fanfic? Because if she has, she's opening herself up to potential lawsuits in the future. There's a reason why authors don't read fanfic and it's so they can say, "I can't have stolen that idea from So'N'So because I don't read fanfic."

Okay, the Edward bedding made me shriek out loud.

My friend Charlotte is here at my house, and she's very active on the message boards for True Blood. She says that there is a group of women on the boards so enamored of Bill (Stephen Moyer's Bill, not book series Bill), that they refuse to read past the second book, because the third book and beyond is where Sookie and Bill's relationship... um, well, that would be a spoiler, but anyway... they would probably want a bed set with Moyer's face on it. Charlotte would probably go for a bed set with Alexander Skarsgard's face on, but only for the haha value -- the lulz, as it were. She and I love the books and we tend to laugh at the fangirls who take the show OH SO SERIOUSLY.

Date: 2008-12-13 10:03 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com
Oh God. I love him, but... um, no. I'm not happy about where I've heard the characters' relationship is going, but that's because all I know is TV!Bill, and also, I can understand how you wouldn't necessarily want to run the same-old same-old relationship into the ground for eight books.

How in the world can you take that show seriously?
