I crave sustenance

Hmm... today's Journal Birthmonth Flashback? Let's go with Tiny Moist Hand.

Tried to record a Halloween story reading; made one tiny stumble--but at a key line, unfortunately--so I can't put that take out. But I haven't been able to get the right voice back on any subsequent takes. I tried to warm up by desk-dancing singing, but somehow, that just didn't do it. I'll just have to keep trying, I guess.

Didn't have the most productive day ever, but soldiered away at the Prestige footnotes until finally I just said, "This is as done as it's gonna get right now, even though there are a couple that aren't ready, but screw it, I need to move on to something else." The POTO footnotes are going to be a lot of work to finish, I think (I've been skipping around the whole time), but at least it'll be something different.

(Trying BPAL's Dorian--which has been in my little storage chest for far too long--as a room scent. Not really sure it's working for me in that capacity. Need a bottle of High John the Conqueror, actually--my sample vial of that got me through the last three months of writing the 15M book, to be honest.)

I LOVE Tiny Moist Hand!

:-D

HAHA. You alt-tagged the Vampire car links. You are officially as geeky as me! In a good way, of course!

Did you see the AdFreak ads for the condoms. I was speechless.

BTW, I am totally fascinated by Fringe so far, almost solely because of Main Character Walter's awesome portrayal by the guy who played Denethor in LOTR. He's awesomely disturbingly awesome.

Also: I have suddenly become addicted to House. Help!

foresthouse, this is for you: Producer Lauren Shuler Donner Teases Wolverine ... and Deadpool?

Aw! *hugs* This possibility makes me so, so excited. *g* I really hope RR is good in the Wolverine movie so there's a chance for more Deadpool! (The only problem is, if they do a DP movie as dark as I want it to be, it might have to be...well, I guess if it's more dark-angsty and less dark-gorey, it wouldn't have to be R, but, I dunno - it might. Hrm.)

Okay, I followed the link to the article on the "so gay" ads, and saw this entry on the same blog (http://adweek.blogs.com/adfreak/2008/10/levis-wants-it.html)

GAH!

Also, that's not releasing a beast. That's getting a really bad case of crabs. Please keep those beasts restrained, or at least have them checked out by a doctor. ew.

Instead of getting to work I just wanted to share with you that I've finally caught up on True Blood, and man I love it's crazed southern weirdness. Even some of the fabulously bad accents.
However, I have a hard time judging lousiana accents...since I've been all over the South, but that is one state that has escaped me.

Also, guy what plays AdoraBill? Lionsgate recently released an Australian movie he starred in called Restraint. It was fantastic and he plays an Adorabill rather crazy dude.
He also gets laid, which is nice for him, because Sookie seems to have some weird sense of decency that is not exhibited by her fashion sense (or lack thereof).

Anyway, people should watch it! It was a fantabulous movie. Red box has it...please ignore the stupid cover and even lamer description. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0441782/

Can you please, please, please mention this? I know you don't get political but this is a big deal:

Tonight's CBS Evening News finally covered what may well be the November Surprise that we've been trying to warn about for months here at The BRAD BLOG: Massive voter roll purges being done in secret, with little or no oversight, and often under federal Justice Department cover, in states and counties around the country.

...

We've yet to read this Brennan report, but the brief coverage from tonight's Evening News notes 10,000 voters purged in Mississippi, 21,000 in Louisiana and "to top it off, another new study discovered 19 states are ignoring federal law (the National Voter Registration Act), banning systematic purges within 90 days of a federal election."?

Here's the link to the story (http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/101051/new_study_details_massive_voter_roll_purges_underway_in_at_least_19_states/) and here is where you can go to make sure you're still registered (http://www.votersunite.org/info/RegInfo.asp).

I honestly don't know why this hasn't been broken open, but the fact that apparently the authorities don't need a reason to purge you from the voter roll is very troubling and will most certainly have an effect on this election whether a Republican, Democrat, alien, whatever.

And if you've already mentioned this then please go about your business.

Between baby Renesmee and the Tiny Moist Hand, this entry has left me well and truly disturbed. Good work!
