You know, it's really productive to have a gigantic head/jawache from stress right when you need to work on something that would earn some money and thereby alleviate the source of the stress.

So... let's go to another happy jewelry place! I bring you--via [livejournal.com profile] elisa0984--georgianjewelry.com. (Favorite pieces: the man in the moon earrings; the moonstone double heart ring; the moonstone heart pendant; the scalloped piqué hoops; the pearl heart pendant; the French locket. But then, I think I'm a sucker for the sun/moon/stars motif in general. And also, moonstones.)

Cleo,

Since I know how much you like costumes and Victoriana, I thought I'd share a link to a book on Victorian dress patterns that I picked up during a family outing to Washington Irving's house. I know you've been having money troubles lately, so you might consider borrowing it through your library even though it's pretty reasonable through Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Authentic-Victorian-Fashion-Patterns-Complete/dp/0486407217/ref=sr_11_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1219200750&sr=11-1

I thought you might find it useful for your research. :)

I LOVE that the U2 leak is getting media attention. Bono knew full well what would happen. I swear, he does it on purpose, blasting the music from his villa, which is just up from a public beach. This also happened in 2004 before their last album was released, as well as some demos in 2006.

I'm actually a member of the fansite where the files were leaked and are being distributed, and a few months ago I helped distribute a low quality recording made by a friend who visited their Dublin studio. But I haven't listened to the new leaked clips, because I want to have some surprises when the new album comes out.

Ya know, most casting choices make my head hurt and I have to be convinced, but weirdly, I think Russell Crowe would make a perfect Bill Hicks. It makes a kind of glorious sense. Wow, I really hope it's true now.

It is understood he is considering playing the main role of Hicks — a controversial and brilliant American comedian who battled drug and alcohol abuse before dying from cancer at 32. Crowe confirmed Nottingham would not go ahead until March next year because director Sir Ridley Scott wanted the leaves on the trees in England's Sherwood Forest to be the right colour.

He what drug and alcohol?

That said, Crowe's probably the only potato-faced actor that would be able to do justice to Hicks.
