Still depressed; feeling very low. Slept later into the day than I meant to. Can't stop having bad, uneasy dreams. Not much energy; hope it's a hormonal ebb. I'm deeply behind on not one but three movie parodies for a book, because of all the forced-at-gunpoint cleaning, and I'm not sure I can catch up now. I'm either going to crawl back into bed, or curl up with a pile of old magazines and flip through them for anything I might want to keep, which would at least be vaguely productive.

To make sure this entry isn't a complete downer, here's something I meant to link to the other day from Bad Penny (aka "Home of Charlotte Lennox," whose Afterword is now up):

Slackerbitch: "The ever lovely puipui said here: Don't worry, Charlotte. If you do end up having to pony up $1000 to MsScribe's charity of choice tomorrow, I'm sure we'd all be happy to organize a whip-around to raise the money for you. XD

"I read that, and laughed, and thought, hell, if that bit ends up being true, I'd kick in $10 towards that $1K myself.

"If you're thinking the same thing - that if it were true, you'd contribute $10 [or $1 or $5 or whatever] - and it ends up being not true, which is far more likely as far as I'm concerned ... maybe think about popping that $10 over to 4christina.org instead?"

Which I thought was a wonderful gesture. And Charlotte herself will not, by the way, need that money now.

More later.

When you first linked to the whole epic saga, I was amazed. I was vaguely aware of some of the stuff and people mentioned but had no clue things went as far as they did. Reading through it all helped keep me entertained/disgusted at work while the BPAL forum was down this morning.

AND I completely agree -- very wonderful gesture, suggesting any donations go to Christina instead.

(I'm still cleaning-at-gunpoint, too. I feel your pain.)

The Msscribe thing has boggled my mind. Some people need a good kick in the head.

Feel better!

Hope you feel better.

Re: old magazines, are you going to put the magazines up on eBay if you don't want to keep them, or just chuck them?

From: [identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com
Probably cut them up and chuck the rest. A lot of them aren't in very good condition.

Well, here is a small dog (http://www.506infantry.org/images/aebischer08.jpg). A mascot, Draftee, a brown and white dog, age and breed unknown, was the only one to ride on the march, all the way lashed into the pack on the back of PFC DeWitt Lowery (E Company) of Atmore, AL. (Far Right): Robert B. "Burr" Smith (E Company).

DeWitt Lowery is such an Alabama name.

Isn't it? It's still an Alabama name, sixty-odd years after that war.

I wonder if Draftee ever made it to PFC? Because the highest-ranking nonhuman (and most-decorated nonhuman) in the US Army made it to Sergeant before he retired at the ripe old age of eight.

Ugh, depression. I hope you'll feel better soon.

Have you heard about this (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/film/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002691243)? Both Natalie Portman and Eric Bana are in negotiations for The Other Boleyn Girl. If the talks go through, Portman will play Anne, and Bana, Henry VIII.

I did! I have it on my next-entry draft. Who's to play Mary, do we know?

(Actually, I heard Keira Knightley was at one time involved. I don't know if this means they're replacing her with Natalie, or that they want Keira and Natalie to play sisters. Given that Keira once played Natalie's double, either way makes sense.)

I haven't seen anything about Mary. It'd be awesome if KK plays Mary though, in that wheel-of-fortune kinda way. From the movie's imdb entry it seems the only actress confirmed is Rue McClanahan! Who will be in Atonement with KK and also James "Mr. Tumnus" McAvoy.

I have sat here, for hours, enthralled by the saga of the wankiest wank in the history of wankdom. It's like a Lifetime television movie! All that's missing is a kidnapped baby.

Linking to the charity is an awesome idea.

Also, Hi! I'm Branwyn. I've been a fan of your m15m project for a long time, but I was really impressed with your showing in the comments over at sockpuppetgate, so Imma friending you, because clearly you are a very savory character on top of being talented. :) I hope you'll come by some time!

So- I stay on the finges of HP fandom. Most I chat in message boards, but no art or FF. So I was bemused when three seperate people on my FL posted links and then once I read it- seeing all the names of people I'd chatted with AND realizing this crap connected to Sapph and her Mum, as well as the hullabaloo at Mugglenet; I was flabbergasted! WHat was more frightening was the random co-worker bringing it up to me the day after I read it all... It's making me paranoid yo!

"HELP! somebody got fandom in my RL!" "Oh NOES! Somebody got RL in my fandom!"

Aww, I hope you get out of the rut soon. I know those parodies are going to be awesome anyway. :)

I was wondering if you'd heard about this Colorado ruling on age limits on marriage, it's insane!

After reading some of the things that happened during Charitygate, I wanted to thank you for posting charity links in your journal. Taking the time out, making a post, trying to help someone.
