All right, a more cheerful entry.

After talking to a few people, I made several more "Heroine Addict" icons. My strength in making graphics, as most of you have probably figured out, is simplicity. (Ha.) I'd like to think of it as a feminist (see: "Yes, You Are") sort of meme. Pass 'em on, make your own, make them better, add more, bring 'em here and show me. Take heroines from graphic novels, anime, cartoons, theater, movies, comics, I don't care. But if you make them, I'd love to see them, so come back and comment.

Oh, and leave more requests/suggestions if you have any.

Yup, it's filming as we speak. The girl playing Christine (icon) is Emmy Rossum--she was in an indie movie called Songcatcher, and has an excellent voice, so they probably did a good job on that one. Gerard Butler is the Phantom--Movieweb also lists Patrick Wilson (I think he was in Angels in America? Joe?), Simon Callow, Ciaran Hind, Miranda Richardson, and Minnie Driver. There's only one picture (http://lightsout.movieweb.com/movies/galleries.php?film=925&id=1647) so far, the one I used, but the Phantom is also in it. :) If I hear anything else, it'll get posted on dailydigest.

I've snagged the Whale Rider one for my use ... but I do have a suggestion! Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. Definite girl power vibe. I was skeptical at first, but I watched it the other night and now I am hooked.

Of course, snag away! That's what they're there for. I've already done Elle in the second batch, and I have a couple of Wendys but I don't like them. Have to find a better picture. And I thought about Dory, too! Have to make one for sure now. :)

Speaking as a man regularly accused of being macho and misogynistic, your definition makes me out to be a feminist! What gives? Anyway, I'm much too lazy to bother making them, but may I suggest icons of Anne Lewis from Robocop? One of the rare believable tough chicks in cinema (my hatred of half baked, unrealistic "strong woman" characters accounts for a lot of my supposed anti-feminist nature, apparently).
She fights, she shoots, she helps undead cyborgs rediscover their humanity... A regular renaissance woman!
