The kind of things I post on Twitter:

cleolinda OW MIGRAINE. And tons of weird-ass dreams last night.

cleolinda Had a dream where I pulled Catwoman/Sienna Miller down off a domed ceiling with a grappling hook. Clive Owen complimented me on my spycraft.

cleolinda The password was "Ouvios." Mulder and Scully may have also been there, I'm not sure.

cleolinda Had another dream where I was a deputy of some sort trying to stop a madman from blowing something up/spreading a plague.

cleolinda Heroically I succeeded--the clue was, "The antidote is where the fluids are." We all searched the waterfront, then I had the brilliant idea

cleolinda to search the cleaning supply cabinet. My imaginary dream doctor husband was very proud of me. He was guarding the lepers.

... I just added you... just so that I'm not some creeper amongst any other creepers you might have. lol

I joined twitter a week ago and I am obsessed with it.

And to go with your weird dreams I just woke up from one about Lindsay Lohan being a mutant.

Hee!

I'm still experimenting with what to say on Twitter that isn't just totally "I had toast for breakfast."

Hahaha, yes I feel bad when I keep saying that. I've started to state my baking adventures though, I figure those are always fun! And listings of odd dreams work too!

You know, I find I almost always have vivid, crazy dreams during migraine sleep...much more so than normal. Do you notice this too?

either extremely vivid, or nothing. I just remember long periods of blackness.

LOL That RPattz quote is hilarious! Seems like he's finally starting to deal with the tabloids soundbite machine by giving them exactly what they want: ridiculousness.

I went to Cleo's twitter page (which she linked to here) and was responding to this post:

So you had a hottie-capable male counterpart while you played the action heroine? I wonder if there's a TVTrope name for that, for the male consort of the protagonist who's given an intellectual, non-warrior profession so that he can be established as worthy of the female lead without being directly outshone by her. They did it in Underworld too.

You know, I never thought about that trOpe, but it does recur, doesn't it?

From: [identity profile] darkfrog24.livejournal.com
Heh. I was about to say that I didn't think it was tripe. But I like it. It's better than 1. rendering the action heroine unable to have a consort 2. rending the action heroine able to consort only with the male of the week 3. making the male consort bigger badder and tougher than the female heroine (Rosie the Riveter's boyfriend was a marine and don't get me started on Red Sonja) or 4. sucking.

Yeah, I like the idea that the male partner can be a non-action type but still be seen as strong and worthy, and the female partner can be the actual ass-kicker. Like, her being tough doesn't belittle him.

Date: 2009-03-12 10:06 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] darkfrog24.livejournal.com
Yes. I notice that in order to do that, they usually establish that the male partner's area of awesome is something specifically not combat, such as medicine or science.

I read the RPattz GQ interview thanks to your Twitter, and I'm starting to wonder if I've always found extreme fidgetiness (that's a word I've just made up), panic attacks and no brain-to-mouth filter attractive, or if it's just with him? I'm not sure which would be better.

I blame The Hair. THE POWER OF THE HAIR COMPELS YOU.

An old diet soda commercial Don Adams did a while before he died--I can't remember if it was Coke, Pepsi, or Dr. Pepper.

I am still envious of your dreams. Mine are always me wandering around empty houses or crowds of random, really bored people.

I had a couple very strange and vivid dreams last night. One involving an odd sort of resurgence of Nazis, a capsizing boat full of people, and some weird kind of explosive shaped like a huge bullet that had cartidges made with gold dust(?) and the powder was a highly volatile substance. I don't even know.

And the other was all about my boyfriend. We're currently in a long-distance relationship because he's in Korea teaching English and in my dream he was married to someone else and it was like we had reconnected after he got overseas and started our relationship back up. He was doing the "I'm going to break it off with her, I want to be with you" thing. It was awkward and uncomfortable. And then I saw a video online that his wife had posted of their wedding day and them walking down the aisle after the ceremony was over and she was commenting with her friends about how amazing he was and how she missed him and couldn't wait for him to get back. I woke up actually reaching for my phone thinking I had to call him and we had to come to a definitive decision because after seeing the video I felt awful about possibly hurting her. Thankfully he is not actually married and we're doing well, but it was still not a dream I enjoyed.

I love dreams like this. I wish I had documented my dream this morning before I forgot the majority of it. Now all I remember is wandering around in an art gallery, and I know there was more.

-_- You made me laugh-cough-hack, Cleo! I'm getting over bronchitis. But that laugh was still appreciated. Your dreams rock.

I dreamed the other day that I was outside of the movies or the library (I'm not sure which given the nature of the rest of the dream) and this one car had a giant boa constrictor hanging out the window and another car had a small dog (like a Pomeranian) hanging out the window and as the two cars pass each other the boa lunged out of its car and ATE the dog. I was very shocked so yeah crazy dreams etc.

I know... I've found that I often need to cross check between my iphone & my computer (yes, I am that big of a geek) to catch them all (often tweets will show up on one, but not the other)... mostly I worry about missing @ tweets to me... because I don't want people to think I am ignoring them you know?
