Holla, WHUT??? The Wachowskies to direct a Superman trilogy?

Holy hell, what has gotten into the Hollywood bigwigs?

And Hugh Jackman...*nom noms*

The new Bumblebee really doesn't look that much different than the old. More KITT like hood is all I see.

In regards to the bushfires, I wonder if I could turn your attention to this: http://e-chan-21.livejournal.com/80596

It's a journal entry written by my brother, writer Andrew Hutchinson about my eldest brother Ben. Ben has lost everything in the Kinglake fires but refuses to leave the town while there is still recovery work to be done.

There are other entries in my lj about the bushfires, but I find that Andrew's entry pretty much sums things up.

Don't know if anyone else has given you something similar, but here are some links for charitable organisations helping injured and displaced animals from the fires that are in desperate need of donations.

RSPCA Victoria (http://www.rspcavic.org/campaigns_news/news_bushfires.htm)

Triple R Equine Welfare Inc (http://triplerequinewelfare.org/_mgxroot/page_home.html) (scroll to the bottom for the 'donate' button)

Animal Aid (http://www.animalaid.com.au/support-to-bushfire-victims.html)

Wildlife Rescuers (http://www.wildlifevictoria.org.au/cms/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=51)

WRAP - Wildlife Rescue and Protection Inc (http://www.wrap.org.au/pages.php?pID=4)

Healesville Sanctuary (http://www.zoo.org.au/Healesville/News/Save_Injured_Wildlife)

Also, ABC forums have an excellent list of Things you can do to help (http://blogs.abc.net.au/victoria/melbourne_bushfiresoffer_help/index.html), including donations of money, but also listing donations of time from skilled volunteers (such as electricians), temporary housing, blood donations and donations of non-perishable food and clothing.

Wow. See, I am/was a fan of Moonlight, in all of it's blissful cheesiness. I even stuck a toe into fandom, in that I actually joined the fan comm on LJ and squeed about it. But I must have been a very apathetic fan because I had absolutely no idea that all that shit went down. No clue. I have no idea how I missed it. I am baffled. I got the vague impression that something strange happened at one point because of a throwaway reference to collecting money, but I had no idea it was that epic. Wow. HOW do I miss these things???

I'm underwhelmed by the Inglorious Bastards trailer. I think maybe the violent squick factor may be too high. It's one thing to do that in Kill Bill, it's one on one, but in a war movie, violence feels increased by ten fold. I'm torn. Damn you, Taratino.

Really, shouldn't all your deception, fraud, and betrayal come with a side of moon pies?

I feel you should know that moon pies are apparently invading the Mid-Atlantic, for no apparent reason. Including a tiny little store in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch country.

New Bee does ot look that different, but I still dont' really like that hood. The edges are too rounded or something, but it's just not working. (Course, I'm partial to Mustang's myself.) Now that Vette? Gorgeous.

I loves me some Jonas Brothers. They feed my silly pop song thing. I would very much not object to them being on the soundtrack, but I really don't think, judging by the Twilight soundtrack, that their music would fit in too well. Especially since New Moon is all angsty emo tears and what not.

Okay a FEW Things:

1. I still want to see Horsmen... They can shit talk that movie all they want but I'll watch it just like I watched Zombie Strippers

2. Speaking of zombies... I love them for some unknown reason but Hollywood keeps screwing them up! Like somehow zombies aren't scary anymore... Quarentine was good but 28 Days Later is still AMAZING to me

3. Ghost House just released Room 205 on DVD here... and I watched it... and it was okay but it will be ruined when they remake it and Americanize it... half the movie will be of some girl walking around in boy shorts and a tank top asking "Who's There"... I miss the good old days with scary movies that were SCARY... Like Halloween (the ORIGINAL) and Cameron's Closet... *sigh* Films just aren't the same anymore... it's all about cheap jumps and lound music to scare people... what about the killer that walks at a normal pace and STILL catches the people who are running away? That is what scared people cuz it played on those nightmares of not running fast at all and stuff...

Okay I am done ranting now...
