Okay, much to my terror, I have, in fact, listed Eowyn (Not Eowyn) and the book, together, on eBay. The description is a little hard-ass, as a result of me being terrified that I'll somehow screw it up, and also, because I read this, and I am not looking forward to a hundred dumbass questions from the persistent eBay masses like "Does she have hands? I can't see any hands."

Anyway. The auction'll end next Sunday night, I think? There it is.

Never, ever bid early on. It's pointless. :( And now a days unless you use a sniper you are not likely to win on popular items. Some people still rail against using a bidding program saying it is unfair but people are fanatical on Ebay and without using something you will rarely get what you want. On the popular items you need to use something.

I use this one:
http://www.ezsniper.com/

The first few times it is free to use so you can try it out. It's nice because one, it is free. Two, you are not locked into the auction. You tell it your max bid and at the last few seconds it bids for you. It starts off by bidding just enough to put you over the current bid and then increasing as needed for those few seconds. Which means if within the 7 days the auction is running you have buyers remorse and change your mind or get the item elsewhere you can just log into Sniper and tell it to forget that auction and it can because nothing is bid on Ebay itself until the last seconds of the auction.

It's also nice because it removes that whole competitive OMG I HAVE TO WIN frenzy that you regret as soon as you win and your bank account is depleted. :P You tell it your max on day one and just walk away and let it handle things on the last day.

Thanks; I use Auction Sniper (http://www.auctionsniper.com) and I've done pretty well with it, but now—if I ever go back to eBay—I'll probably try ezsniper.

Since this is for Cleo making money, I'm all for people bidding early to inflate this auction. What you said is the truth, I always explain eBay sniping when I give my eBay 101 speech to my friends.
