Deeply weird: I was thinking about The Fountain, and when I got back to my desk half an hour later, "Death Is the Road to Awe," my favorite piece from the soundtrack, was cued up on my music player. I'm not saying it came up in a shuffle; I'm saying it was the only song on the playlist. When I'd left my desk, the only song on it had been the new Paramore. (Shut up.)

By the way, I did include that Edward-Bill meetup that people wanted in the latest True Blood recap. Mostly because I had been planning it from the moment I saw that episode. Seriously, that chair in the shadowy corner, y'all.

She wasn't trying to save herself. She held on as long as she could while the crowd was shouting for her to let go so they could catch the baby, and she made the choice to trust them. If she had held on they would have both fallen and her daughter would have definitely been killed. Seeing as how no one was hurt, it seems she made the right decision.

Known for her parts in the Disney shows “Even Stevens” (co-starring with Shia LaBeouf) and “Kim Possible,” Romano is trying to step out from her kid-friendly past. “Now all my fans are in college and they’re happy to see me do stuff like this,” she said.

I was already in college when I was a fan of her old stuff. >.> And I don't feel the need to see her doing "adult" stuff now. That's what Kim Possible fanfic is for.

I actually saw a child fall off an amusement park ride! This would have been... geeze, probably 12 or 14 years ago now. But I was waiting in line for a ferris wheel, and a toddler slipped under the safety bar when his car was at the top of the wheel. It was actually the operator, a teenaged guy, who caught the child.

...needless to say, my parents didn't let me ride the ride. But it was immediately what I thought of, with the first piece of linkspam. It was something I still have to get my family to confirm actually happened, because even at the time, it seemed unreal.

zombies are like the cool cousins that vampires try to emulate at the horror-movie get-togethers.

actually the best zombie story i ever heard of was a post-apocalypso (new word, shut up) future where vampires were protecting humans from zombies...because zombie blood is no good to a vampire. so the humans were basically cattle. very post-meta-whatever. damned if i can remember the name of the thing though.
