Oh, shit, I think I found all that stuff for free. I got a computer microphone for like $9 at CVS (haven't used it yet, don't know how good it is). Go to download.com and start looking for free programs--maybe someone can recommend one. My Creative Zen player came with a bunch of recording/studio software, so that's what I would probably use. I don't know about the movies themselves--I would have just been like, "Here's an audio track, go get your DVD and press play... NOW."

For a recording program, there's always Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/). Open source, which is always nice. Honestly, I haven't used it much (though, I should try it out again), but I know folks swear by it. And, apparently, PC World picked it as a top 100 product of this year.

Have you had a Rifftrax experience at all? There's a whole thing that they do, with DisemAudio, which is a little DIY, but it works.

Heck, it doesn't even have to have the box, if you know of a site that makes the mechanisms and a handcrank, I'd be happy.
