She's a very talented and beautiful girl and in my house, to this day, I have a Mexican doll that for a while lived in her hair." Brand also explains exactly what happened with the Christian Bale thing last month: "In England, we have such good manners that if someone says something impolite, the police will get involved. Christian Bale, I believe whilst in a restaurant, rolled his eyes at the lighting. That is an offense punishable by five years in prison in the United Kingdom. It's bad--it was downright terrifying to watch it happen before I knew what kind of injury he'd sustained. Afterward? It was just heartbreaking. There was no blood, but his shoulder was dislocated when the bar hit it, and that was pretty ugly. Poor guy. I felt so bad for him.

Cleo, don't you know you're supposed to put "Knock on wood" after saying something like that? It's like when characters in movies/tv say "At least it couldn't get any worse." It always does. It always does! That's why I never say it. By extension, it's also why I never get into elevators with pregnant women.

"It's hard not to be befuddled when Franco describes one of the scenes. "We're both dancing and we're both naked, and we both now had prosthetic penises. He finally put it together that I'm wearing the Boogie Nights prosthetic. And he said 'James that time in the pool!' And I said 'Yeah I was wearing the prosthetic.' And he said 'God, I'm so relieved.' And then, he's like 'You show me your prosthetic, I'll show you mine.'"

He and Robin are talking about the Gotham Rubber Factory, and then suddenly Batman isn't wearing any pants. What the hell? Click through for another shoddily animated clip."

"I just love the fact that Batman carries around a giant bag of Bat-snacks. Where does he keep them? Somewhere on his utility belt? Does he keep them to reward Robin after a long day of crime-fighting? Is that the same pouch where he stores his pants after he whips them off in the earlier clip?"

LOLZ. The Batman/Scooby link is priceless.

I am terrified of that Will doll. He looks...really strange.

All right, I'm just going to say this and get it out there. I'm almost 22 and I adore the Jonas Brothers. A few months ago, this used to shame me, and then I got over it. Might as well proclaim it out loud. I love them, their music is fun, they're actually quite talented (it's pop, yes, but that doesn't negate talent), and (*gasp!*) they're fairly wholesome. Is there something wrong with that? Everyone is either always bitching about how celebrities set bad examples and the kids are getting too sexy too fast, or they bitch about the clean cut groups for not being sexually threatening enough. It makes zero sense. Critics make snide remarks because they wear purity rings (hey, so do I, and I'm still a virgin, and I'm also incredibly agnostic - for me, it wasn't a religious decision, it was personal, and I don't usually even mention it because the point is not shoving it in anyone else's face), or because they feature prominently on the Disney channel, or because their fanbase is predominantly younger girls. Well, would they rather the music be laced with curse words and innuendo? I don't get it. There's no middle ground. Either the media is criticizing for being too edgy (like...making a huge deal over Miley Cyrus' back?) or criticizing for being too safe. It's no wonder kids seem to jump straight from the playground to the bedroom - the media that they look to (and they do) doesn't depict any other course to take. It's gotten to be ridiculous. And do they feel better about making jokes over a group that's squeaky clean? Does it make them feel like elitists? Because, in the end, it's pointless. Let the young girls be young girls. (Part of my huge problem with the Twilight series is the lack of middle ground and Bella's lack of independence and backbone. It sets a lousy example and precedent for all the teeny-bopper fans who are voraciously reading and re-reading them. ) And even at my age, where I guess you're supposed to be jaded and grown-up, I'm still going to enjoy my bouncy pop music right along with my fairytales and Disney channel movies and doll collecting, cynicism and critics be damned.

Oh, and in direct relation to the article, it was disrespectful to call Kevin the "other one." Say things like that, and you are destined to incur the wrath of the fangirls. /excessive ranting

He also mentions all the time that he's terrified of them, which seems extremely sensible. In fact, given how high he looks all the time, I'm always pleasantly surprised by the way he seems to be the only one who really grasps what's going on in these books. I mean, he's the one going, "They're in love but they don't even know anything about each other and Edward is kind of a moron." Meanwhile, I started reading the interviews linked at the top of the article, and the guy who plays Laurent is like, "I AM TOTALLY A TWIHARD." Uh.

While Aldridge's behaviors seems sort of douchey, I'll play the devil's advocate by saying that I sort of know where he's coming from. I teach high schoolers for a living and I'm about Aldridge's age. I don't teach freshmen, which is about the age of Daley, but there's nothing worse than a teenager trying to tell you what to do. Add to that the fact that Daley has sort of been the news maker rather than Aldridge, it sort of makes sense that he was a little harsh on his team mate. In watching the competition, it WAS Daley who was making more mistakes. Understandable since he's fourteen, but I can understand how that would be frustrating. Of course there IS such a thing as being tactful.
