Did not go swimming again, as I felt a little sun-sensitive from spending so much time outside yesterday. Have a few mosquito bites on my arm that I keep scratching in my sleep, leading to prolonged swelling and itchitude despite cortisone cream. Also discovered that the ice cream in the freezer downstairs was almost completely melted but still delicious, which suggests that the freezer may be borked. Which will probably cost us more money. Still feeling pretty good anyway.

Did you check the freezer temperature gauge (where you set how cold it should be)? My friend Mike had a refrigerator that he assured me was broken, and I "fixed" it just by turning the knob to the right setting.

I don't know why it would have changed, but Mom cranked it up as high as it would go just to see what would happen. We're waiting to see if it gets any colder or not.

Well, like in Mike's case, if you own an air conditioner or refrigerator for long enough, there's a chance that refrigerant can leak over time, and whatever setting it was on would not keep it as cool. Also, I guess someone could have just bumped the knob/switch with their hand or something.

I'm horribly tempted to take one for the team and see The Love Guru at this point, just because I miss movie popcorn THAT MUCH.

(Also, I still have The Hottie And The Nottie and I Know Who Killed Me on my hard drive for mocking purposes. Clearly I can tolerate anything.)

I watch the Power Rangers movie, Sailor Moon R and Krull all the time. AND I ENJOY THEM.

I only wish I had enough money to go and see The Love Guru. That kind of glorious pain is somehow more visceral when it's thirty feet high and shared with strangers.

I wonder what's worse: "Love Guru" or "Zohan".

I don't intend to find out.

From what I've heard, "Zohan" is pretty funny, actually. Not exactly the smartest movie ever made and not the funniest movie either, but not horrible.

"Love Guru," on the other hand ... I've yet to hear a single complimentary thing about it.

I got a Mummy preview when I went to see The Hulk - but we got there late because my boyfriend was dithering (he HATES previews and does not understand why I obsessively must be there to SEE ALL OF THEM - actually, precious few people that I know actually enjoy previews - let alone look forward to them) so I didn't see all of it, but what I did see was pretty cool looking.

& the love guru? It's like ... everything I hate in a movie, with the added bonus of Jessica Alba pretending that she is funny. She is not.

Ahaha Midnight Meat Train. Our band went to NYC this March and we got to see Young Frankenstein. And then Roger Bart, who plays Dr. Frankenstein, came out and talked to us because his niece was in the band, which is how we got the tickets in the first place. And then he was talking about what he was doing other than the show and he was like, "I'm in a new movie that sounds like a porno, it's called Midnight Meat Train." It was probably one of the funniest moments of my life.

I saw the Mummy trailer in front of Hulk - it actually looked pretty fun (I'm a sucker for the idea of those pottery soldiers coming to life).

I will never, EVER go see Love Guru. Even watching the trailer pained me. That and the Adam Sandler hairdresser movie make me wince.
