Argh. Determined to finish another annotation tonight, for a grand total of two done. I had no idea it was going to be this much work, y’all. I don’t know how many I can crank out by the end of the week (because you want a certain amount of quality control), but my poor mother is freaking out because the termite people have increased our rates, we've had to pay for new car tags, and our accountant decided to charge us $800 for doing our taxes this year, rather than $200-something, because previously he was the CPA where my stepfather worked (coworker discount, I guess?), and now he's not. I am seriously afraid one of us is going to fall and break a leg, or someone's going to have a fender bender, or maybe someone's teeth will explode--anything to cost us even more money. Because it's getting ridiculous, the way everything is costing more and everything is costing it now. And like I said yesterday, I can't work when I'm tense. Stress or panic makes me freeze up, but I can't even afford to indulge my nerves now. So every time my mother starts pacing and muttering, I let my inner seven-year-old start shouting, "WHEN I AM DONE I WILL BUY MYSELF A WEBKINZ BLACK CAT YAY! AND IT WILL BE FUN! AND I WILL PLAY ON THE COMPUTER ALL AFTERNOON! MONEY IS WHAT GROWNUPS BUY CANDY WITH! WHEEEEEE!" It's like, I have to pretend I don't have grownup worries in order to deal with the grownup worries. It's a childish zen thing, I guess.

Jesus God, don't click on the link to see Mario and Homer untooned. Mario looks like he's still an FX, but Homer will eat your brain.

I agree about Homer *shudder*, but Mario looks friggin awesome.

I always wondered what he would look like if he were a real(ish). He looks a lot older than I would have thought.

Jessica, on the other hand, looks amazing. Working in photoshop a lot myself, I can understand how hard it was to do that. Kudos to the guy. MAD kudos.

Thanks for the link, Cleo!

Say whatever you want about the quality of Super Mario Brothers, but I still think Bob Hoskins rocked those red overalls. XD

He was totally NOT a realistic Mario, though. He was way cool, but he was more New York Plumber than laughing circus clown.

And John I'mnotevengoingtotrytospellhislastname as Luigi? Puh-leeze.

And when you're done you can alos look at video and pictures of kittens (http://naamah-darling.livejournal.com/322564.html). (And no, THIS IS NO RICKROLL. That would be cruel right now. Kitten pics are the opposite of cruel.)

Meanwhile, even when you're stressed, you're funny. Good and useful skill. Good luck.

I try not to be antagonistic about it, but... I don't either. I just keep posting the links because I figure, where there's smoke, there's got to be some kind of fire, even if it flops horribly.

Oh, no worries. Maybe Summit Films is somehow related to MTV or something, cos it seems that every time MTV posts something about Twilight they're practically creaming themselves about it.
At least it's got Cedric Diggory and is partly filmed in the greatest city in the world.

Also, I give you The Mountain Song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01wOhgg27dM) in the hopes that it will make you smile. :-)

Seriously, I thought I was the only one who thought that. That part of the trailer, my toes and fingers curled up and I'm pretty sure the sound that came out of my mouth was something like "FwaaarrrfhdsfhajfkaOMG."

Hi Cleo,

Some spam for your readership:

http://www.immonen.ca/news/archives/963

Apparently a group of bloggers and artists have had their artwork and interviews stolen by a Hong Kong publisher, and illegally bound into a book. The creators of the material are having a hard time getting ahold of any responsible parties, and are asking for the article to be spread, to prevent people from buying the book.

If you follow the link to the guy's blog, and check out the Jessica Rabbit Process" (http://pixeloo.blogspot.com/2008/04/jessica-rabbit-process.html) he makes a comment about "You'll notice one of my main reference images was an Angelina Jolie picture. I'm curious if that's why people think she looks like her or if she would have looked like her no matter who I used."

You can DO EEET! Rah! *sends cute chincilla picture (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/foresthouse/Chillas/07.jpg)*

Huh, I had no idea the guy who wrote the first CC article had such issues with CC. Still, at least the suit might make people aware that they should read CC licenses VERY CAREFULLY before they choose one. Heh.

Wow, the toy people got the bust/half-statue (that's kind of a weird cut off point -- it makes me think of, "I have no legs!" from that one Kids in the Hall skit) of Lupin exactly right. I think that one's the best of the bunch other than Voldemort.

DRad is so endearing - "like some pathetic dweeb" - hee! I hope if the girl does contact them she includes a headshot so he can be like, "YEP, THAT'S MYSTERY GIRL!" What amuses me the most is that from the article, it looks like they never talked to each other or anything. So really, he just thought she was totally HAWT.
