So. Uh. My keyboard is kind of dying. Last night one of the keys got stuck, and today the colon doesn't work. (The semi-colon works just fine, so the key's not stuck, which is just baffling.) So of course my /referred (guess which letter doesn't work!) keyboard, the Microsoft Internet Keyboard, isn't in /roduction anymore and I have to /ick out a new one. Which I have; I just have to wait for it to come in from Amazon, because everything chea/ was /icked over due to Black Friday, and the only other o/tions were hella ex/ensive wireless monstrosities. Oh, and my mouse was on its last nonexistent legs anyway, so a new one of those is coming in, too. I can't decide if I want to bother trying to lim/ through a links/am entry this way, or try to forage someone else's castoff keyboard, or wait, or... what. But, you know, that's where I am.

I think I ended up with the Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002CPBUK/ref=wl_it_dp?ie=UTF8&coliid=I23J5H9SBK3AUZ&colid=2V1WMTK7BD8TX). (The p seems to be working, very begrudgingly, even though the key is still stuck down.)

Ahh, cool!
I went with the ergonomic when I started having some hand problems, and it was recommended to me. It's helped CONSIDERABLY.

Well, I did find the Microsoft Internet Keyboard page (second-party sales only now), and it said that like 50% of customers who hit that page ended up buying the Microsoft Digital WTF, and it does seem kind of similar. Black instead of white/grey, and kind of on crack with all the new shortcut buttons. I just love the shortcut buttons--I love the calculator button on my old one.

I have NEVER ended up using any of the shortcut buttons! I'm old skool touch-typist, and learning new places for new keys is just weird. I use all my alt-key thingies for my shortcuts! Ctrl-escape to bring up the Start menu, alt-tab for program switching, etc.
