Oh, sweet God. I am in Honey Bunches of Pain right now. I'm having some weird clutching pain in my stomach--I can't classify it as anything in particular, like a cramp or a stomachache. Actually, if I had to guess, I'd say it felt like the onset of a really bad stomach bug (PLEASE GOD NO). And as if that weren't bad enough, we're apparently going to have F4/F5 category tornadoes in the area tomorrow--the weather's already starting to look grim tonight, so if I go missing, it probably means my internet is out. Pray for us that nothing gets struck by lightning this time.

Could be food poisoning. I just finished a nasty bout of it, complete with hideous stomach pains.

Oh God, I've been through that--found out the hard way that even when pizza is bad, it really ISN'T still pretty good.

*is a kind of expert on tummy pains* Is it sharp or dull? localized or general? (and if you don't want to talk about it here, i understand).

It's kind of a general/pit-of-stomach spasm that comes and goes. It seriously reminds me of the time I got food poisoning, which is not good.

as someone who's been suffering from undefinite (though very likely stress-related) stomach-aches for ages, I can only say... ugh and =(

fingercrossed + goodprayers for both your safety through the storms and your health!

Jeez, I hope it's nothing serious. Do you have a place to shelter from tornados? Or at least a working pair of ruby slippers?

We have a pretty good basement/rec room. I'm more concerned about falling trees and lightning than anything.

Ugh. Wishing you the best of luck with everything. Hope the stomach calms down, the lighting doesn't strike down, and the house stays on the ground.

My prayers go out to you. Lightning, I was told, never strikes the same place twice but just to be safe... *crosses fingers & toes*

I'm going to chime in with the person who suggested heating pad and rest. I don't know why you're hurting, but when I have similar pain, that works for me. Feel better, hon.

And we'll be sending storm-repelling vibes your way.

AIEEE, tornadoes are like, my biggest fear ever, which sucks because I live in a mini Tornado Alley and every time the sky even thinks about raining between April and October we get watches. Hope it's not too bad - as long as you have a basement or an interior bathroom you should be okay.

And omg, fuck digestive problems. My mom was just in the hospital last week because of stomach pain, and it took them DAYS to get a diagnosis because everything has the same symptoms. Very annoying. Feel better soon!

Oh lord. Good luck with all that.

And by the way, Honey Bunches of Pain is pretty much the best thing I've read all week.
You and your brilliance....

Hey hunny... stomachaches are horrid. I have a huge cabinet full of Zantac and vanilla Rolaids to combat stress-related belly agony. =P

The reason I'm writing, tho, isn't just to wish you well...

YOUR BOOK IS FUCKING HILARIOUS.

Heeeeeeeeee. I thought it might cheer you up. And I'm telling you, I survived the writing of that book only through a steady diet of Tamora, Wolf's Heart, and bottles of Mountain Dew.

(I sent you an email a while back--right after I mailed the book--but I know you had a backlog. I just wasn't sure if it got to you at all.)

Feel better, mio tesoro. Retreat to yon basement with Pepto and a good book and some candles.
I feel your pain. Have been doing so for the past three weeks straight. Everyone appears to be getting the flu/Norwalk virus/random aches. Although my illness got better once I started eating small amounts of meat/protein on a semi-regular basis. :S The decision to go experimentally-vegetarian and live on Stoned Wheat Crackers and Life cereal did not go over well with my colon.

it could be kidney stones or gall stones, it sounds like the pain my dad had from gall stones (which were intitially misdiagnosed as kidney stones) if the pain lasts and is really bad, you should definitely go to the doctor.

Re stomach pains: maybe Poolthulu is poisoning the water supply?

In any event, I sincerely hope you feel much better soon. And that the tornadoes decide to knock off early and lounge around someone else's place, maybe having nice cool drinks or something.

By the time you do linkspam again, somebody should have this up: James Lipton was just on Conan again. Not only did he rap while wearing a sideways baseball cap... but he did a beer bong. O.o

Ahem. That's if, of course, your house is still in a house-like shape and a small carnivorous beast hasn't burst from your stomach. Feel better and good luck!
