Going to a play tonight and then out for drinks; have spent entire morning in outfit-planning anxiety. Did take Tylenol PM last night, though, and had the closest thing to a night of actual sleep that I've had in two weeks.

Gawker's live-blog, screencapped coverage of Fake Writer Day, also known as "Oprah pwns James Frey."

eBaumsgate continues: "USA Network has ordered a pilot of 'EBaum's World,' a new show based on the website that hosts an irreverent collection of user-generated home videos and humor. The idea is for the show to air after RAW on Monday nights."

[livejournal.com profile] jedilora: "Okay, the Narnia Rap Battle? East coast response is that it's not about Color me Mine--it's all about PLASTER FUNTIME."

[livejournal.com profile] allthelivesofme: "My friend and I just published the sequel to our first book-- it's available here. There's also a larger version of the book cover here, which I have to point out because the people we got to work on it did a great job, in my completely non-biased opinion. ;-) (and a huge, huge thank you, by the way, to anyone who bought the first book. You're seventy-three different kinds of awesome) :-) "

The only thing better than watching K-Fed make an ass of himself for us: James Lipton reciting "Popozao" on Conan.

OMGWTFPLUSHIEBEAR!

I am still updating [livejournal.com profile] dailydigestnews, by the way--it's become much simpler to do now that I've just started moving all the movie linkspam over there. Sometimes I don't recap what I've posted back over here, but I'll try to do that briefly--just know that it's still updating, even when I don't. Today: POTC Heroine Addict icons, Joaquin Phoenix in car accident, ill-advised casting rumor for a new Wuthering Heights; Gwyneth Paltrow puts foot in mouth; Nick Cave and Pete Doherty news (what? I don't have anywhere else to put it, and the Nick Cave bit really is about a movie); more from Sundance.

Hee. You know, it occurred to me--if Joe Wright, the Pride and Prejudice director, is doing it, might Keira Knightley be involved at some point? I mean, that version of P&P was practically a dress rehearsal in spots.

I come linkspamming, because all the cool kids do it. The past couple days on the Bitter Guide has been consumed primarily with bad Brokeback Mountain puns. Okay, not everyone's thing, but amusing all the same. See the wonders of Sleestak Mountain, and Dewback Mountain! http://thebitterguy.livejournal.com/tag/brokeback+mountain

And no one's come up with "Rorshach Mountain" yet? Two psychologists, each in denial of their true feelings toward one another, can only express themselves through a series of inkblots.

We had a Rorshach Mountain, but it was for the Watchmen comic book.

The sheer act of someone *describing it* to me changed my life. When I saw the link? I knew it had to be posted.

My first words upon walking into work this morning: "So, everyone knows Oprah pwned James Frey last night, right?"
Everyone else's first words: "You're still going on about that?"

As Beaner said this morning, Man, when Oprah can't wait to tear into you, so much that she schedules a live show, you're in deep trouble.

I must say that the Oprah episode has to be the best thing I've watched in a while. Frey had the complete attitude of a kid being sent to the principal's office. While I don't think what he did was illegal or anything, I do point out that he picked the WRONG person to try to bamboozle. He tried to pull the wool over the eyes of a woman who controls the majority of the housewives in America. Who really wants to bring the wrath of that army down on their head?

Hawww yeah, PFT is the place for all the cool kids. I have Bootsie the Anarchist Unicorn that I painted there. (He is the angriest My Little Pony ripoff ever.)

I finally, finally, finally got my hands on your book... you own my soul. School has started up again (*groan*) and clinicals are sucking my energy and brain, but when I get home and settle down to read the next section it's a complete pick-me-up.

Erm, so, I guess what I'm saying is... THANKS! Absolute brilliance :)

the Oprah interview was amazing, if i do say so myself. I actually watched it, and she made James Frey look like the biggest fool on planet Earth

Glad to hear

Glad to hear you had some fun. Although I'm sure your time on the fainting couch wasn't as long as it could of been. :)

Thought you would find this interesting. Remember all that stink about Target pharmacists not having to fill the morning after RX if it was against their beliefs. Well it seems Walgreens has stepped up to the plate as being progressive in thought. Walgreens wanted all their pharmacists to sign a pledge that they promise to dispense the RX. There is a pending lawsuit because some say they got fired for *not* signing the pledge. Be interesting to follow.

First off I wanted to say that I think your site is awesome.

Then I wanted to thank you for the Heroine icon. I think you do beautiful work.

I don't know how anyone can not love James Lipton.

I'm at work but I am so saving this link so I can come back and explore more later!
