I wish I could be fun and blog the Golden Globes tonight, but I'm so exhausted from the weekend that I just want to curl up in a quilt on the couch or something. Unfortunately, the den couch is reserved for the Jack Bauer Power Hour (™ spidey_88), so I'll probably be sitting three feet from my TV in my computer chair. Which means that I'll be at the computer. And... knowing me, I'll end up doing some half-assed combination of both/neither, so... who knows.

(Bravo is rerunning the show on January 21, if you can't catch it tonight.)

Brief linkspam:

Clancy Brown appearing on (joining?) Lost.

Lily Rose (are you [livejournal.com profile] akathorne on LJ?): "Nothing says 'I love you, baby-mamma!' like giving your paid incubator a full, inscribed collection of your own movies on DVD."

Poll time! Are you annoyed by the consistent lack of functionality from the 'memories' feature on LJ? You know, the functionality they might want to have worked on BEFORE they unleashed The Nudge upon us?

A bit of movie news, but more importantly a Golden Globes article with nomination list, over on [livejournal.com profile] dailydigestnews, because I am trying to be good and update that.

And finally: happy (belated) birthday to [livejournal.com profile] edda!

T-1 hour till the Jack Bauer Power 2 Hours!

And Oh, Tom Cruise. You get creepier every day. Please go somewhere far, far away from the wombs of all women.

I think, if he could, Tom Cruise would clone himself. Multiple times.

EEEEEEEEE! *dances* I shouldn't be so excited but I am!

It's not popular, but I'm actually not that fussed about the Nudge thing. In fact, for some of my friends, it's pretty handy. It is TOTALLY not the highest priority though, on that I agree!

I just laughed for like five minutes at this. It's heartwarming to think that no matter how bad your day it, somebody out there is engaged to Tom Cruise.

I am! Hee. I should just use one name everywhere, but I... didn't.

"Dear Katie: You were only 5 at the time, but I just know you'll love this flick of me dancing around in my underwear and generally acting like an idiot. No, really. Love, Tommy"

*rolls eyes* I absolutely loved Top Gun, but with all of Tom Cruise's weird and disturbing behavior as of late, I'm really starting to lean on the "have nothing to do with him" side of things.

Have fun with the Golden Globes! Or...not, as they might possibly be over by now. I'm sort of late to things this evening, having gone to dinner with a friend.

Hee. It made me laugh pretty hard. Probably because the Jack Bauer Power Hour is religiously observed in my house.

I have to go find this "nudge" feature. You're the second person I've seen mention it.

Ah. Is it just me, or do you see the inherent abuse scenarios? ;) Maybe it's just me. I don't respond all that well to direction, and so I would almost consider it a annoyance....go all Peshi: What? My Blog is Amusing to You? I'm here to amuse you? Am I not performing often enough for you, like a circus seal?".

Ok, maybe not quite Peshi. Nobody would believe me in Peshi mode. Oooooh...I know, I'll be annoyed like that woman in Some Southern Chick Flick, (Fried Green Tomatoes, maybe?) where the woman is driving in the store parking lot, and the teeny little girl in the volkswagon jumps in and takes her parking spot, gets out of the car and says "Heee...I guess I'm just younger and faster...tee hee". The older woman responds by slamming into the volkswagon a few times and says "Yes, but I'm older and have more insurance." That would be me. (See, that's believable...everyone that knows me, knows I would do something like that. With very little provocation. I fear menopause. Well, mostly I think the universe should fear my menopause...)

Anyway, long, babbling answer in short form: Wow. That could be annoying. :)

Excuse me for all caps but OH MY GOD CLANCY ON LOST!

Seriously, there could not be better news to me. I LOVE that man. I was lucky enough to be in several chats with him when Carnivale was in it's second season and he's one of the most awesome people ever. Plus he was so damn sexy as Brother Justin.

That would seriously make my year.

Interesting Batman sequel casting rumor: Rachel Wiesz as Ra's al Ghul's revenge seeking daughter Tania, and *drumroll* ... Johnny Depp as the Joker. Hmmm! via CHUD (http://www.chud.com/index.php?type=news&id=5693) and Moviehole (http://www.moviehole.net/news/20060112_a_few_more_batman_rumours_to_c.html)

Personally, I think Rachel would be brilliant as Tania. I was hoping Crispin Glover would play the Joker [well, it's still anybody's game at this point] but Johnny Depp could be really good too.

oops

It's Talia and not Tania.

I was sort of holding out hope for Catherine Zeta-Jones as Talia personally, but since I love Rachel Weiz I'd love to see her in the role.

Yeah Crispin Glover's my first choice too, but if Johnny gets it...well I'll have to see it is all I can say for now ^^;.

The thing about "nudge" is, it's not much of a feature. It probably took a grand total of 30 minutes to code and implement.

To LJ it was just an easy way to go, "Hey look! New features!"
