God, I need to get the next Katrina entry finished up.

Anyhoo, I'm gonna go ahead and open up the Katrina store on the strict understanding that it is not finished and that new designs and products and things will be added, and on a daily basis if possible, so there will be more stuff. Eventually. But I have to read for class and I'm about a month behind on poem(s) for my writing group and I have Lost recaps to catch up on and it just takes time to change a design from one set of dimensions to another, you know? So the store's still rough, and not all the descriptions are finished, but, you know, pardon our progress and all that.

(Sorry, I'm a little frazzled today.)

Again: I am not keeping any of the profits. CafePress keeps the base price, and I have added $1 to that on every single product, which means that the number of products you buy affects how much goes to charity, not the total cost; it's a setup that encourages people to buy a lot of smaller items, basically, and while I'll put up anything anyone asks for, I'm definitely going to try to focus on buttons, magnets, mugs, that kind of thing, in addition to the ubiquitous t-shirt. Animal designs will benefit the Humane Society; all other proceeds will be split between Habitat for Humanity and Second Harvest.

I don't know if I'm working on a Lost recap or more designs tonight, but that's basically my plan for the evening. And maybe watching the Goblet of Fire trailer again.

*calls you by your real name* Lauren, you don't have to participate in every single thing if you don't want/have the time to, lol. Do what caters to you. Not everything is running every two seconds. Like, I try to sort every night if I have time. But last week, I missed five days because I was working insane hours at Target because of Katrina. They let me put off my order assignments, and my quidditch match isn't till the 25th. If you're just a regular member, you don't have to be "teh Ravenclaw overachiever" like us crazies there.

I would definitely suggest joining some of the clubs if you want something to do when you need to relax. And participating during Hogsmeade weekends and in our shops... that's enough! Half the members aren't even freakin' active. The smallest bit of activity is loved.

And, if you can't be active for long periods of time, Ms. Budding Author, there's a Hiatus button to put in your user info. Cause it sounds like you really do want to come back... and let's be honest, we miss you.

Awww... yeah, I found the hiatus button. See, I think I must have gone inactive almost a year ago, because I don't remember much after the switch from the old main community to the new main community, and a lot of this stuff is new to me. I mean, it looks much more organized and well-put-together now. I'm just a little at sea for the moment. : )

LOL, sorry if I seem so freakin' persistent... it's being an Order member that does it to me, haha.

Oh you have no idea... it's wonderful. It's like... my online family. My boyfriend has to bribe me off the computer sometimes. It can be pretty pathetic, lol, but I love it. And the odd part is, I know you rarely can get to know people online because you're liek, internet celebrity (omg haha what a great thing to say or hear), but with us... we're freakin' cool. And we have mad Ravenclaw pride. ^^

Heh. Actually I do get to know a good deal of people online--there are tons of people who have no idea who I am (or do, and totally don't care), and I really did like Ravenclaw while I was there. It's just that the whole community (HiH) went through a period of upheaval right about the time I got way busy, so I think I just kind of said to myself, "I'll check back in when things have settled down." And I just never got to.

And don't worry, I'm not seeing you as "persistent" so much as "helpful." Like, "omg cling to someone who has any idea what's going on!"

Yeah, well after reading HP&PoA's m15m, I think I died laughing, printed it out in 38 pages on my computer (with all the copyrights, of course, lol) and made all my friends read it. And they died laughing too. So you have an offline fanbase, too. In Hammond, Louisiana, of all places. XP But the best part is that you're a PERSON too, not just a name and some writings. And that's cool.

We're still upheaving some things... but it's so awesome nowadays, I just couldn't resist bugging you back, haha. Cause if you have it on your FAVORITES on your journal, then that means you liked it enough to matter.

Hehe, if you need to cling more, I'm here! I like to know what's going on. ^^
