It is October! I need to remember to change my calendar.

(Still truckin'. Getting down to the final details, which are often the most difficult to track down, which is why I put them off to the end. Involves a lot of screaming at now-defunct fansites, apparently.

ETA: Holy shit, you guys, I think I just finished. I mean, there's some really tedious checking to do, but... the actual work part is done. Wow. I kind of don't know what to do with myself.

Oh hai, love the ghosties. BTW, when is your ETA for the new computer?

Haven't ordered it yet--sales of e-book will determine how soon I can buy it.

Just wanted to say you've really inspired me to stop procrastinating and start actually working. Thank you for that! I have a short story halfway laid out now.

... also a lot of homework, but eh. Who cares about that? :P

I second the liking of your new ghost wallpaper. And yeah, those final details will kill you when you're just trying to finish a writing project. Can't wait to see the final product!

Thirding the ghost love, Halloween is in the air! Which means half-off candy day is right around the corner =D

Well, I'm looking for screencap galleries to check a couple of things, because I could put in the DVDs I guess but I am JUST THAT LAZY. And I don't think screencaps would be backed up on the WM.

Loving the wallpaper as well. France sucks SO much about Halloween, there is no good candy at all, no pumpkins and only a bunch of crazy teenage boys and creepy grown-ups screaming around, wearing REALLY ugly and bloody costumes until someone call the cops.
Worst celebration ever.

Yay for October, right? Lets eat some pumpkin and apples and cinnamon stuff and enjoy the cool air. (It had dropped to the low 70s to 60s here in TN and I am loving it.)

And if you need something to make you say "awww" and warm your heart, over at Cute Overload, it is officially Tocktober.

Hooray for October! I was still new to your journal last year and I remember loving all of your Halloween icons. I can't wait to see them all again.

I think I've suggested this before, but would you consider taking pre-orders? Because I'd be happy to send you the money now so you can move faster towards getting the computer.

I agree with the others, love the wallpaper! I always love looking at all the icons cause I'm too lazy to figure it out to do my own.

The cooler weather is definitely nice. At night watching football practice it's cold enough to wrap up in a blanket!

As soon as you post up those e-books, I don't think it will be too much longer before you can buy the computer. :)

I really don't know that that's possible--I'm going to use lulu.com, which will make it so much easier on me to process orders (read: I won't have to), and I don't know that they have a pre-order function.

I'm only a few days away as it is, honestly.

That's great! I'm not only looking forward to the book, but I am glad you will be able to have a new computer soon because I know what a pain it can be to be without one. And I don't think I've ever been without one (since I started using computers) for as long as you have been this summer.

Awesome. I'll be all over that like white on the Republican National Convention* rice.

Hey, have you ever considered setting up a tip jar button so people can PayPal you money? Because your awesomeness would definitely inspire me to throw money at you. Only in a much nicer way than that ended up sounding.

I suggest celebrate with chocolate!

Of course, I commiserate by suggesting chocolate.

Did I mention my weight issues (shiftily eyes dust-covered Wii).

Yeah, Halloween in Europe is just an excuse to party. I brought Halloween candy with me when I backpacked there a few years ago, and people went *bonkers* when they saw it.

I don't always get to the store on half-off candy day, but I always look forward to it.

Yes! It's the only thing I have to look forward to around Halloween, aside from the TV specials, since I stopped trick or treating.

It's the only time I buy Halloween candy too, the kids around me are too fickle. One year a trashcan was thrown at our garage because we didn't hand out candy, then the next year when we did buy some no one showed up.

Count me in on the 'hotly anticipating footnoting action' list. I am a total sucker for the stories behind stories so this is seriously exciting for me. /is lame

Oh, I'm all about behind the scenes stuff, too. As a for instance, my brother got me Peter Jackson's King Kong when it came out on DVD a few years ago. I watched it and wasn't particularly enamored. But, I starting watching some of the behind the scenes material, which were fascinating! I enjoyed it so much that I got the Production Diaries set, just to get more behind the scenes fun.

Hmm... it's been a while since I watched those; I might need to peek at them again.

WOOT!

BTW, I thought you might enjoy this word to the wise:

If the question is "Is this bit the waste toner cartridge?" ... the list of methods of inquiry should probably not include the item "HOMG TURN IT OVER TO LOOK IN THE HOLE."

Just sayin'.

(For the record, the answer was "yes." On the up side, that bra was never quite comfortable anyway, and the ten to fifteen minutes of uncontrollable howls of laughter when I saw myself in the staff-room bathroom mirror was totally worth the dead $8 t-shirt.)

The thing that made me think of you when it happened was that my afternoon was kinda sucking, just a lot of little stupid frustrating things, but the sight of all that toner pushed it over into hilarious. Not that little stupid frustrating things in any way, shape, or form stack up against Compocalypse '09, but still.

Here's the thing, I have no idea of who actually did it. It could've been the kids, or some of the teenagers, or even a parent. All three are very likely cause the people near me are a special brand of cray-cray.

Luckily, there's a decent chance of my family moving soon. So I won't have to deal with this unless I come here to see my grandma.
