Okay, the new Poufwa Exchange podcast I'm on is up--you can get it at iTunes or at www.poufwaexchange.com. I don't have preview snippets of this one, but these are the fine people who previously brought you the Twilight Sex Education "I think he did a lot of reading... maybe he scrapbooked it afterwards" discussion last year. I'd have to go through it again to give you specific times, but we do talk about the Russet Noon fanfic fiasco (ETA: okay, that starts around the 50-minute mark), pseuicide ("He couldn't even stay dead for 24 hours!"), Twitter, American Idol, and--for a good long time--The Secret Life of Dolls.

Meanwhile, I did find my bottle of BPAL's High John the Conqueror and am now judiciously daubed with it. Mmm, grapey herbs.

(Still footnoting. Not much else to report, except that Scout got worse, in that "Aaaand now it's all out of his system... and on our carpet" way, and now he is better.)

Poor Scout. Poor carpet. (Poor Cleo.)

(And heh. Scrapbooking. I think of that every time I go into Hobby Lobby.)

Heh, for real. And I have a really strong sense of smell/gag reflex. Not fun.

True story: I started reading your blog because of your BPAL reviews since I, too, am blessed/cursed with a freakish sense of smell and I was looking for scents that wouldn't make me ill.

So when I read that about Scout (and having a pack of dogs myself), my heart (and stomach) really went out to you! :-D

See, exactly. This is why I could never, ever be a parent, because the first dirty diaper would give me the vapors.

My friends tell me that that may be the case for the first one, but you're quickly inured to the point of not smelling it at all. 12 a day will do that to you.

Of course, I will not know of what I speak for another seven months, so: salt, grain of.

Actually, while I did eventually become slightly accustomed to cleaning up after my own little rug rats' bodily functions, anyone else's are still gag-inducing, and that goes for my four-foots. :p

Don't know if it's been asked, but does Scout throw-up a lot? We had a dog that threw up constantly. We'd give him a Tagament or any other acid reducer tablet before we fed him and he would be fine. Or it could just have been a dog-flu. :)

Well, not really. Based on what he coughed up the other night, we think he got into one of the wastebaskets. Hence the upset tummy.

Oh...well...that would explain why he was so sick. Glad he's better. No more wastebaskets for him!

delurking to ask an off-topic question

Sorry, the question might be stupid.
May I use m15m-format for my... I don't even know how to call it, but probably not MSTing. I can't MST movies on "paper".
I mean, I've seen others using similar format, but I desided I'd rather ask.
(It's a rather bad movie based on a book that's even worse, and I sort of promised to give it a MST-treatment, and then understood that m15m-format would be easier.)

Well, I mean, I didn't invent script format parody or anything. I just try to get people not to actually use the phrase "... in Fifteen Minutes," and encourage them to come up with their own jokes, rather than repeat mine which I run into the ground myself anyway with a slight change of subject.

I'm not going to use the phrase and use your jokes, I promise.

Well then... the language on the main page is a bit strong right off the bat. That's just... pretty much the one word I don't use, is all.

(And really, beyond that... I don't read fanfiction much if at all, so I don't know that I'd have anything to contribute.)

We talk about Twilight sillyness in general...among other things. But I understand. You might not get the full OOMPH of the place if you don't read the fics...though it is beyond entertaining if you do. *le sigh*

Sorry if I fangirled for a minute. I just think you're awesome. :)

Unrelatedly: have you seen this (http://houseoffame.blogspot.com/2009/09/chaucer-sparkleth-in-sonne.html)?

"In this fyne book of sparklie vampyres, Bella Cygne moveth from Essex to Yorkshyre to lyve with her fathir, who ys a sheriff and escheator. At a scole ful of recentlie coyned stereotypes, she witnesseth the fayre skyn and fashion-sprede slow-mocioun hotenesse of the Cu Chulainn clan..." It only gets better from there.

It is glitching! Every time I go to play it on their website, it stops playing (not at the same place every time). Not. Cool.

I'm having trouble getting it from iTunes, and the link to their site seems to be broken... is this a case of my network being retarded again, I wonder?

The website is up right now. You can right-click on the word download to download directly form the site or can subscribe and download the file from iTunes directly. Search for Poufwa Exchange.

I've added us to Podcast Alley and it should be available from there whenever they update as well.

Ok, I don't know if I'm hallucinating or not but...usually when I google "cleolinda" the first thing that comes up is occupation: girl (in other words, this journal). But when I googled it just now the first thing that came up was The Horny Mansion: ass...seriously. And what's weird is that when you click it, it still goes to this site! Everything under this inexplicable title is still the description that is usually under occupation: girl. I don't know what this means but I just thought I should share it with you since that's really not what it's supposed to say. I wonder if anyone else saw this?

It seems to have gone back to normal now...I swear I am not losing my mind, it happened on more than one computer in my house! At least it seems to be gone now...
