Dishwasher advice I got from the stovetop delivery guy today:

@cleolinda: HUZZAH! Stovetop has been delivered; I can go pass out now. Also, appliance guy told me something interesting: dishwasher soap doesn't melt

@cleolinda: (it has to melt?) until a certain temperature, so if you run hot water in your sink before you start the dishwasher, you'll spend less time

@cleolinda: & energy heating up water and you'll get an immediate soapy cycle instead of just cold water doing not much of anything. So he says.

I keep thinking Radcakes can't get any awesomer and I keep being wrong:

You've said recently that you would like to date older women. You know who's older, single now and likes British guys? Madonna.

Christ. I don't think that I'd do my chances of working with Guy Ritchie any good.

Gary Oldman reportedly taught you bass guitar on the set of 'Potter.' Have you ever considered starting a band?

No, he gave me one bass guitar lesson. [...] I haven't played bass in years, I gave it up because I wasn't getting any better. You have the realization of going, "I don't know what I'm going to do with this." And also bass isn't an instrument particularly that gets you laid. On its own, cool, but not like guitar, you can't really be a flash bastard with bass.

Tom Felton For Riley* In ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’? WHAT ARE YOU DOING they'll eat you alive! GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN

I think Victor Wooten (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Wooten) would have a thing or two to say about that. I never had a good way to describe him until "flash bastard" came along!

Jaco Pastorius would most certainly have something to say about that too.

Glad you explained who Riley was since I didn't feel like looking him up.

Can't wait for Percy Jackson, it looks like they did it right. Although Percy isn't like I pictured him but I can deal.

Have fun at HBP! I wish I could go tonight but since I have to be up at 6 am, I am not that dedicated to a midnight movie.

Yeah, no one can ever remember who he is. I finally came to think of him as "the beginning of Edward and Seth's bromance."

You CAN be a "flash bastard" on bass, but it takes a long-ass time to get that good. I heard/saw an amazing rendition of "Stormy Monday" that was nothing but vocals and upright bass. Bonus points for awesome bass-playing while singing.

Yeah, I've been giggling over the 'things to say during sex' thing all afternoon (it was linked to me earlier in the day).

I kept saying "Wow, I don't remember HP being so funny!" I laughed more during the new movie than any of the others. That and the pacing is just so much better!

Radcakes is my new favorite name.

I Agree With This Comment so much that I actually wrote out "I agree with this comment" instead of "iawtc"

except I am a prude so instead of jump I would, I don't know, giggle like a 14-year-old girl and determinedly look the other way every time he walked by or something

but I agree with the sentiments wholeheartedly

I haven't heard 'flash bastard' in awhile, that made me smile.

I read 'The Lightning Thief' and then did not continue with that series. But I pictured that kid younger and more of a Freddie Highmore type.

Huh. I don't know if Stove Man is right, but we've always run the hot water first before starting the dishwasher (if the water isn't hot from dish-rinsing directly prior to dishwasher-running, that is) and I experienced a moment of, "Wait, not everyone does that? That's not just how it's done? There's actually a reason we do that?"

And then I felt like I had to share that with the internet, I guess. I don't know. It's a billion degrees here and my brain has melted into goo. Hello, also, this is my first time commenting here, I think. :D

Best ad ever, srsly! But then, it's from Schertz -- I didn't think they even knew what Abercrombie & Fitch was! When my father-in-law got thrown out of every bar in Pawelekville in the 40's for starting too many fights, he had to go to Schertz to do his drinking.

I really want to love Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, because I'm a fan of hers generally, but that just seems like such an odd casting choice. Time will tell, I guess.

It's a Tim Burton flick. EVERYTHING is an odd casting choice. That's like a rule. Well, it's just odd or it's Helena, which typically still qualifies in the odd.
