cleolinda: Went back to bed and had a weird dream about writing for the story for a musical that someone popped up and said "We wrote the songs!"

cleolinda: These were Important People the dream did not bother to name, so I was thrilled. I think monsters were involved on some level.

cleolinda: In the dream, I played at least two of the songs, full songs w/ words, on my computer, and sang along. Can't remember them now, though.

cleolinda: Meanwhile, it was Thanksgiving and a small mob of about 12 people broke into my house. The leader was a very motherly woman who was

cleolinda: very interested to hear the songs Important People wrote for my monster musical. Man, she was really nice.

The first bit sounds like something Joss Whedon would do. Maybe you were dreaming about the sequel to Dr. Horrible?

This sounds like a mix of the Susan Boyle/Britain's Got Talent story and your usual aspirations toward world domination by superior narrative power.

You're dreams are just wonderfully weird. At least that Thanksgiving lady was nice.

That sounds like a Mickey & Judy movie musical by way of Joss Whedon. I dig it.

I had a dream I was a ghostwriter for John Grisham, except I was really stressed out because I didn't think I could match his writing style or come up with any clever twists, and certainly not by the deadline. This was probably thesis angst on some level.

I dreamed I had to replace the President (who wasn't President yet; it was a campaign trail stop) and give a speech because he was temporarily unavailable. Which was going to be fine and no one would ever know, because I (26, short, stocky, red-headed, white, and a girl) looked just like him.

I mostly lurk around here, and I'm not sure if you've seen this already, but I figured I'd make sure anyway:

Hee, yeah. I heard about it on Twitter and facepalmed. Mostly because I'm afraid the rest of FS is going to be like "THAT IS NOT A REAL FANDOM, OMG HOW LAME."

I lol'd for real.

GAH, my puritanical school blocks the weirdest shit, including anything from tinypic. I don't suppose anyone would, uh, summarize the secret for a curious, nosy person at an insane place, would they? *puppydog eyes*

I like your dream...

I had a musical dream once where I was thought to be this amazing entertainer and had to play an instrument at one point (piano or guitar, can't remember now) and also later had to sing one of my songs... and on the spot I sang this neat song while at the time of the dream I thought "this is pretty cool". But then when I woke up, it went "POP" right out of my head.

Damn dreams.

I've written several full musicals in my dreams of late. It's quite annoying that I can never remember the music/lyrics when I wake, but I still know the weird nonsense plot and the characters.

I had no idea I was so good at writing the musicals... though I know I'm good at performing in them. Huh.

Now they just need to invent a machine you can hook up to yourself and record that kind of thing.
