Erin of Project Download passed away yesterday? All I knew was that she deleted the LJ comm several months ago with no explanation and disappeared--does anyone know what happened?

ETA: We've confirmed it.

Wow. That's a really upsetting end. I had hoped she had disappeared simply because she was using the money raised to get better and had all the medical stuff to deal with. :(

I hope something official goes up and not just a discussion on facebook. What a piece of bad news.

Sonce an obit has not been published and you still choose not to believe my son on facebook, you could attend the memorial service on Wed april 1st at Atkinson Memorial Church 710 6th st Oregon City, OR 97045.
Beleive me my son is hurting more than most of you. Erin was like an aunt to him. Not only has he lost her, but has had to endure such insensitivity and accusations.

I really don't think people (the people here, anyway) are willfully choosing not to believe you or your son. They just want to see something official or in print so as to have closure. A lot of these people clicked Erin's Project Download links every single day--some of them twice a day--for months and were really, really pulling for her. Again, I'm so sorry for y'all's loss.

Whoa whoa, I'm not accusing and saying it is fake! I'm sorry you feel that way. It's just really hard to believe things on certain websites. I could go make a post elsewhere saying something plausible and I'm sure about half the people would believe me. I'm heartbroken that this is true and I was hoping to be wrong. But I wasn't for a second accusing him of lying.

For someone who knew her in person, I'm even sorrier for your loss. I followed this story since practically the beginning and did everything I could to help Erin myself. When that anonymous contributor gave her all that money, my heart exploded with happiness and hope and briefly stopped disliking mankind as a whole. I can't begin to imagine how people are handling her death who had to experience it all first hand.

But again, let me reiterate that I wasn't accusing your son of lying as much as having issues with the website it was being talked abouts' reliability.
