I've gone six months without missing a day of posting, and yet I can't think of anything to say today. It was a gorgeous day--you could hear the birds singing even from inside the house--so I spent some time outside with the dogs, then came back in and got a good bit of work done. My jaw's bothering me, though; I must have been clenching it again. And... that's all I really have to report. So... what did you do this weekend?

I went to Walmart, oogled at the flowering trees they have for sale, and bought stuff for my ex's care package for when he leaves for Iraq. :D (My ex is actually like... one of my best friends now... lol)

It was a very pretty weekend here but very very cold. :(

I had rehearsal today too! We're doing the Robber Bridegroom, and the "small" chorus part I thought I had is the most intense role I've had in a long time! The chorus never leaves the stage!

Right before my tae kwon do instructor said i was getting really good.

But then I found $40 in a subway station.

I spent most of the weekend prancing around onstage in a skimpy costume (while also trying to keep everything from jiggling too much) in the musical CHICAGO. It's been a loooooooooong week, and I'm looking forward to having the next couple of nights off.

Went to a dance competition. Did okay. Won $250.

Bought a $2000 dress (which in fairness was $4500 when it was new and still looks it.) It's pink. And sparkly. I am still trying to figure out when I became a girly-girl.

Lazed about the house, watched my brother in my high school's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, practiced driving a standard. (In other words, relearning how to drive before returning to school) Then today I drove the two hours back to school. Somehow I managed to remember the spare key for my car and forget all my school keys. I have to tailgate into my dorm until my keys come in the mail from home.

Was the surprise guest at my grandmother's 80th birthday. (She's in Michigan, I'm in North Carolina) Nearly puked on the plane, slept the rest of the day.

No, no bite guard--apparently I grind my teeth in my sleep, and I must clench my jaw while I'm concentrating/working, I guess, because it'll ache after I've been working for a while, even though I don't remember doing it.

Spent the weekend with my sick toddler which went better than expected since he was in a good mood despite the sinus infection. But damn am I tired. The 20th round of Ring Around the Rosie practically crippled my knees.

Now I have a drink and I'm watching the first two episodes of Dollhouse on Hulu. Not sure how I feel about it yet. It's not bad but Joss Whedon's obsession with strong yet damaged young women is starting to creep me out.

Cleo, have you watched the Twilight DVD yet? I won't get mine until next week since I opted for the free shipping from Amazon. I'm curious to know what the Target set has that mine doesn't.

I played Knights of the Old Republic and applied to a university. Woo! Exciting!

(I also quietly wanted the Twilight DVD once I heard that they made the sparkly even sparklier. But I don't have the money to buy that, and maybe it's merciful, considering I ended up seeing the movie some four times in two weeks.)
