I've gone six months without missing a day of posting, and yet I can't think of anything to say today. It was a gorgeous day--you could hear the birds singing even from inside the house--so I spent some time outside with the dogs, then came back in and got a good bit of work done. My jaw's bothering me, though; I must have been clenching it again. And... that's all I really have to report. So... what did you do this weekend?

I finally watched the Twilight Movie and found the best part to be in an "extended scene" where Edward manges to unzip his jack very loudly. Causing hysterical lulz and much looping of that particular clip. Then had to watch Interview with the Vampire to remind myself what real vampires should look like.

Also finished a Twilight related project that has probably killed most a lot of my brain cells.

So if you're curious to exactly how many times Smeyer used "stone" or "pale" or "butterscotch" or any other words to describe Edward. DON'T. Also because I already did it. And I regret every moment of it. (http://athenaktt.livejournal.com/278391.html)

A) Bowled at the Bowlathon for my chorus.

B) Finished up my personal (video game) goal of tracking down all the master trainers in Morrowind--and actually ended up richer than I started, to my amazement.

I gathered a mob of bandits. Now I don't know what to do with them. Thoughts?

I spent my weekend being sick with a kidney infection and fighting with my boyfriend. To make matters worse, the idiot doctor prescribed me the ONE antibiotic that I'm allergic too, even though my chart clearly says that I have that drug allergy.

God, what DIDN'T I do this weekend. Grocery shopping. Lowe's run for stuff for the yard. Splurged on yarn at my local knitting shop (there was a sale, there was nothing I could do). Took the dogs for a long walk. Went to the local coffeehouse that night and wrote. Sunday: worked in the yard, started tomato and various flower seeds. Made banana bread. Took the dogs for another long walk. Collapsed into bed. It was a good weekend, but MAN.

I terrorized eighty children by making them learn something about history. Or eighty children terrorized me, if you want to look at it that way. Then my colleague took me to a stage play in the theatre, where he appeared in a role on-screen. It was amazing.

Found an apartment, watched The Muppet Movie (for the first time) with my girlfriend, and welcomed a friend back from Rome.

Saturday, I went to my very first "Adults Only" Bachelorette Party in a city an hour away. Lots of alcohol was involved.

We ended up at a strip club. All 15 of us, dressed to the nines, showing up at a fairly classy strip joint... guys were STARING at us. It was hilarious.

I made it home by 4am Sunday and got up at noon so I could attend my nephew's Wall-E themed 3rd birthday party.

An excellent weekend, and the weather has been gorgeous up here too. :)

I went tobogganing and did sauna and ice-swimming and traipsed through knee-deep snow and measured the formation rates of ions in Finland and played card games and proof-read a book and visited a robbers' den and saw a secret military base with three Finns, three Russians and a Pole.

On the whole, interesting weekend.

Fled four hours east to my parents' house after getting dumped, dyed my hair red and played a lot of Wii Fit, yoinked my sister's new Twilight DVD, read Alanna: The First Adventure on the train home, and watched the movie Penelope which is totally worth watching if you haven't yet (and proves that Summit is capable of quality output). Am now feeling almost able to act like an adult again, at least for school purposes.

I am jealous of your Alabama weather. The cold is clinging on for dear life here.

Me too! Whenever I'm feeling down, I read the Alanna series. She's been my role model for... something like ten years now. So good.

Was the opening bell of the Twilight Fan Fest thing, we had people lined up before 9 when the shindig started and mall entrances were supposed to be opened to the general public. (It helped that most of the line were fellow mall staffers, really it did)

Then I fielded questions about if we were sold out of Twilight yet, I wanted to giggle hysterically everytime the question came up. When I left Sunday night we had 104 copies left from the 288 we started with. I have my own copy at home and will probably also take home the copy that former Store Manager bought me as a parting gift.

Today I meet up with my new Store Manager and also finish getting the new release drop ships checked in, and probably suss out how long it will be until we can get our new vacuum cleaner from Corporate. And spend money on cleaning supplies as well. The last one would be lovely to have happen fairly soon.

Also there was laundry, errand running, plenty of sleeping and diet soda consumption (the drinking will start tomorrow while watching Twilight again, and listening to Director's commentary)

The gif that was posted earlier in the comments, I love that and I wish (oh how I wish) that Twilight wasn't being compared to Romeo and Juliet or Titanic. Although the latter comparision is apt, it is a disaster movie in a way. There was plenty of giggles to be had in store and last night when I had a dinner date with my brother while watching Twilight at home with mini-Edward Zombie Dollen.

I'm going to be letting him loose on my books on basic vampire etiquette. I've got a display unit named Prom Night filled with Vampire romance novels. Good Vampire romance novels even. Where vampires do vampire things well.

My weekends are pretty much wall-to-wall gaming; Saturday was D&D Gamesday, so we previewed the new PHB2 classes and got slaughtered by demons in the final encounter (4th edition gnomes? Pretty badass). Sunday was Aces & Eights, where we met a new NPC who potentialy wants to offer us a business deal, and then we played some Know Your Role (I won the title! Whooo!)

Oh, and I also bought a bootleg Watchmen pin to hang on my purse and a badass Rorschach keychain (and drooled over a 1/6 scale Rorschach figure that cost $100 and comes with a cloth mask, hat and coat. I covet that thing.)

Me? I refreshed LiveJournal about 198765926587653413 times because I just (finally, oh hallelujah, finally) upgraded my internet connection and I forgot that when you're online all the time there are moments when there are no new posts on the friends list.

So then I went looking for mindless fanfic, as one does.

I drove five hours back to my college last night, two and a half of which were spent in the dark with CRAZY, CRAZY DRIVERS. (I spent that time--I was driving--yelling "What the FUCK is wrong with you guys?!" while my dad just shook his head and laughed.)

I was at my sister-in-law's baby shower before that, though, which was all sorts of fun. :)

Watched Twilight On Demand and Twittered about it, looked at beautiful Tonner dolls on eBay and restrained myself from buying Court Gown Elizabeth or Abandoned Bride Elizabeth, since I haven't even seen the movies. I just loved the costumes. Then restrained myself from buying Snape. I couldn't explain that one to my husband.
Then, yesterday, finally read The Golden Compass so I can better know what on earth you're talking about with Lyra, Pan, Iorek & Serafina.
So...basically it was a "catch up on the things Cleo talks about" weekend. Plus a never-ending headache and horrid pregnancy pains.

DVD

Have you seen the "deleted scenes" and other DVD special features?
What did you think about the director's comments at the comicon video?
