Just a couple of things

Just wanted to pop in and mention a couple of things (new Secret Life of Dolls is thataway):
1. Neil Gaiman's going to be on The Colbert Report tonight, and he said on Twitter that he had a lot of fun, so that seems to have gone well.
2. ALICE ALICE ALICE HE'S GONNA MAKE AN ALICE

BTW -- Glad to see you "ecstatic" again Cleo. And how do we get on your brother-in-law's VIP list?

Date: 2009-03-17 02:02 pm (UTC)And does anybody else have the problem of people thinking you say Neil Diamond when you say Neil Gaiman's name?
Or am I just pronouncing it totally wrong? It seems that is how I heard him introduced when I met him. ::shrug::

Date: 2009-03-17 06:15 am (UTC)I'm a Vancouverite and at my university, there's a mystery movie filming. I'm excited/terrified that it might be New Moon. So far they've been filming in a modern-looking science lab, but that doesn't really scream Twilight to me.

Date: 2009-03-17 06:23 am (UTC)Since they cut it out of the movie...maybe they're adding it to New Moon?

Date: 2009-03-17 12:00 pm (UTC)Granted, I only started reading his stuff in the last year or two (where has the Sandman BEEN all my life?!), but, you know, love at first read and all that. Already I think he's influencing my storytelling logic.
Oh, by the way, in Twilighty news, at work I saw a cart loaded up with those Director's Notebook things, and I took a peek. I may not be a fan of Twilight, but my inner production geek loves stuff like this! Lots of storyboards, sketches for the whole family, etc... Well, it is put together to look kind of like one of those ComoGirl girlfriend scrapbook things, so I guess it doesn't really go in depth, but it satisfies the production-curious eyes. There's this shot of the trainers with the wolves. Dang, those are huge wolves.
With the way Jack's coat was creasing in that article, I thought he had boobs.
Taylor Lautner's gotten so frighteningly bulky lately, that if they make a doll of him he'll look hilariously skinny without a special sculpt.

(It doesn't say anything about Neil Gaiman but I know he's there, because it's last night's episode.)

Date: 2009-03-17 03:10 pm (UTC)Between that and the Peter Pan Pullip Dolls (http://community.livejournal.com/pullips/2212840.html) this fall, I need to massively save up money.
I also would like to just say that Colbert and Gaiman going off about Tolkien and Tom Bombadill might possibly be the GEEKEIEST thing I've ever seen. I kinda died of the squee.
