My sister's coming over to do some more laundry and pack for New York, so let's go ahead and post our Lost discussion entry.

Is this an all Kate and Jack episode? Because if so, I may half-watch it while I do anthropology reading (sure to be more exciting, because we are studying voodoo)

According to my cable, it will be split between Kate and the Island.

I, also, will be doing pre-NYCC laundry during Lost. Hooray, clean jeans!

ONTD'S BACK!

But on to my real question:

I see this Lost post every Wednesday, and tbh I've only ever seen one episode of the show. Mostly because I've always had something going on Wednesdays OR another show I was into played at the same time, etc. The one episode I did see was sehr confusing, and I've heard a lot about twisty story lines that no one can figure out, so I guess I'm wondering if it'd be worth it to start watching?

It seems like something I'd enjoy... to bad I didn't get into it earlier...

Internet, give me your opinions!

If you haven't seen it from the start, you are pretty much hosed. Start from the beginning if you hope to have any chance of figuring out the show.

Man, I'm sure I know both of those lawyer guys at Kate's door. Does anyone know where I might have seen them before?

THIS. Even those of us that have seen every episode since the beginning don't know what the flying fuck's going on. (Though that's half the fun -- I've never watched a show before where I literally scream "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" at the end of every episode in a mixture of delight, horror, a brain-breaking confusion.) It's a very dense mythos.

But all the previous seasons are on DVD now, and most of them can be found at video rental places or on Netflix! :D

So what's the what with Charlotte, kids? She wouldn't be having brain-kerblooeys if she wasn't time traveling without a constant, right? But she doesn't seem to know she's traveling. So did Farraday brainswitch her with his blonde coma-wife or what?

I'm more wondering why she's the only one.

Sun's up to something fishy and I don't like it...

It's not worth it to start watching with the show. Renting the DVDs of past seasons is worth the time, though.

Ahhhhh! I know who Norton is! He's Angela's dad on My So-Called Life!!

Well, that's what I mean. If she was already time-jumped to a place that wasn't hers, or mind-jumped into a body that wasn't hers to begin with, she would be the only one suffering from the crazy time leaps.

It can't just be that she doesn't "belong to the island," because Miles isn't suffering.

Maybe the ghost whispering is protecting him? Since he can contact them, they act as his constants?

I briefly considered that last episode when they were being chummy, but c'mon, when he does The Look? That man is a hardcore Kate fanboy.
