Apparently the first hour's a recap/clip show? Then there's two new episodes. For those of y'all new to the journal since last season, I used to recap the show back in the day, but finally I fell so behind the show got so complicated that I really didn't enjoy it unless I could just sit and watch it. So now, I just have entries where people can sit around and chat or squee or freak out if they want to. Enjoy.

OMG. I made a foolish promise to watch it with a friend and NOW SHE CAN'T WATCH IT TONIGHT. I'm *this* close to throwing my honor to the wind and watching it anyway. We rescheduled for tomorrow night, but...I DON'T THINK I HAVE THE STRENGTH.

I gave up somewhere near the end of the first season, mostly 'cause I got too tired of having this BIG GAP in the personal histories of all the characters. There wasn't enough incentive for me to watch the show. Also, the Charlie/Claire thing that was always on the brink of happening, but never did... not while I watched the show anyways.

I mean this with the greatest love and respect possible, but for all of the people who don't watch anymore because the story got too complicated or dbecause it idn't answer the questions you wanted answered right away - are you Harry Potter fans? Or fans of any other book series, for that matter? Did you get this upset when you got a few books in and didn't know the answers yet?

It's just curious... I mean, I've always viewed this show as having a definite end in sight, kind've like Harry Potter. Sure, I don't know what the hell a Horcrux is NOW, but I have total confidence I eventually WILL.

Just somethin' that I've been wondering...

In my case it's because I've been burned too many times by series with big mystery storyarcs where they draw the plot out until they get cancelled without resolving *anything*. X File, the Pretender, et cetera. And I'm tired of being strung along for years until it becomes obvious that the show runners never had a clue either.

I'm sure I'm like, the billionth person to comment on this since I didn't go back and confirm it until someone else made the comment, but I want to say it before the episode starts just in case it's new to someone: You know how the heart of Lapidus' doubt about the plane at the bottom of the ocean is that the pilot would never leave home without his wedding ring? I checked both the post-crash scene and the deleted flashback with him in it. No ring.
