'Prisoner' star Patrick McGoohan dies at 80. Sadly, he won't get to see the reboot of the show--he was very involved in the creation of the original.

Depending on how the reboot turns out, that may be just as well. I get that feeling that if McGoohan were displeased, the fallout from the resulting explosion would have rendered large swathes of California uninhabitable.

oddly enough not five minutes ago my dad and I bought the Walt Disney Treasures DVD of Dr. Syn alias the Scarecrow. I remembered watching McGoohan with my dad as a kid. I'm sorry to see another childhood star pass away.

I first saw those while I was running a 101 degree fever. Which was followed the next day with Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I'm not sure I ever recovered from that.
