At least I didn't put proper money on guessing

It's going to fall off significantly in the upcoming week though, I can't see anyone being that obsessive

And all across America, young girls are begging their parents for more pocket money because they spent what they had seeing Twilight....

*sigh*

At least they're not... um. Actually, I can't think of a way to finish that sentence. Never mind.

One of the girls I work with went to see it yesterday (so she contributed about $10 to that $70 mil), and she was complaining at work this morning about how the movie wasn't enough like the book, that it left out scenes and combined several book-scenes into one movie-scene. Because apparently she thought it should be a ten-hour movie or something?

Eeeeeek.

Well, if it does, the one thing I have to be grateful for is that at least I'm not in high school this time around. ::shudder:: Much, much sympathy to those who are.

Well, to be honest, I don't think Quantum of Solace is the kind of movie a fan might pay to see eight times in a row nonstop. Whereas Twilight...

Titanic had historical relavence. Twilight is tween popcorn. *still trying to decide if I'm going to see it*

How would that even work?

Hour 1: Bella being clumsy.
Hour 2: Edward being mysterious.
Hour 3: The two of them getting their signals crossed.
Hour 4: Bella complaining about how being the new girl is so hard.
Hour 5: Edward pining over Bella.
Hour 6, 7, 8: Bella pining over Edward. And being clumsy.
Hour 9: Sparkling.
Hour 10: Vampire baseball, scary vampire attacking Bella, Edward saving the day, Bella pining over Edward.

Of course. Meanwhile, I'm still not hearing anything about a sequel to Golden Compass. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

Yeah - after the $7 million Thursday midnight tallies and the 34.5 (?) million on Friday, I realized my $64 million estimate in the box office game I play was not going to win me the top prize. Sadness. However, it does give me hope that we will get to see Cronenberg guest-direct Nessie's birthing.

Oh man. And I was so happy last night because QoS was sold out last night until 10:15 and only one show of Twilight was sold out at all...damn. I really thought Bolt would help, since kids' movies always do so damn well. CURSE YOU, SPARKLERS.
