Let's go ahead and post what I've got, shall we? I'd rather sleep in tomorrow.

The Moviefone Unscripted interview with Pattinson, Stewart and Meyer is live. And it's exactly as awkward as you might expect. I'm dying to know what part Kristen Stewart got that she can't talk about yet, though. (ETA: East of Eden?) Also: "Do your best sexy face." "... I don't want to saturate the market." And scroll down the side menu for three or four little thirty-second outtakes, blah.

After I flailed around a bit in the comments of the previous entry because mtv.com always hates me, [livejournal.com profile] chewlkuhvascrt found a YouTube version of the clip being discussed from the MTV Spoilers show whatever. I like when the guy asks Kristen Stewart if there are any Edward Cullens in the real world and she's like, "UH, NO," like, AND THANK GOD. And then, near the end, Robert Pattinson FINALLY loses his shit and screams at the crowd to shut up. And this was taped last week, before the Maul Tour.

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Twilight’ Clip Features Bad-Driving, Bad Excuses, And A Very Good Romance. Isn't it dark up there, MTV, so far up Twilight's ass?

'Twilight' Author Recalls Butting Heads with Robert Pattinson except not really: "Yet, in the performance, he did what he wanted, and it turned out how I wanted it."

From [livejournal.com profile] vivnow: 'Twilight' Countdown: Melissa Rosenberg defends 'Breaking Dawn.' Well, you're gonna have to write the script, so... that's all you, right there.

Entertainment Weekly's Breakout Stars. I'd laugh at them including Robert Pattinson before the movie's even opened, but: Tour of Terror. He deserves it.

Twilight Cast 'In Style' Photoshoot. What the hell pelt are we wearing this time? And who looked at Nikki Reed and thought, "Icy blonde! Perfect"? And I like her.

From [livejournal.com profile] anaroriel: Pattinson Sinks His Teeth Into Stardom With ‘Twilight.’ Regarding Stewart's visible discomfort with the publicity process (colloquially referred to as "bitchface," and someday I hope to rock one as good as hers. I'm not even being sarcastic): "Pausing for a moment, Pattinson clarifies: 'Kristen sort of wears her heart on her sleeve, it's very obvious. But, y'know, if I am feeling uncomfortable about something I force myself to be relaxed about it. People ask you if they can give you a kiss and you're like, 'No,' and they just do it anyway. And it's like, what can you do?" And yet again, the crazy people have found a way to make me feel so very, very sad. Anyway. What about the New Moon movie? "His eyes light up at the prospect. 'My part in the second one is completely different. He's, like, distraught, and sort of goes mad. I much prefer the second one to the first, and I'm hardly in it. I just get this really cool, ominous presence in the book where Kristen keeps saying how much she's longing for the return of Edward and then I have this pretty dramatic entrance at the end where I'm going to kill myself. It's cool.' " His enthusiasm for Edward's big drama queen moment cracks me up--go back and watch the Variety interview, he's excited about it there, too.

Latest Teen Heartthrob Has Love Scene With Male Actor. I knew the moment I saw this headline exactly what it was going to be about. Of course, I also remember "James Bond KISSES A MAN, ZOMG!!!1" headlines circa Casino Royale (that would be Infamous, the movie about In Cold Blood that was not Capote, and Daniel Craig is very good in it, albeit disconcertingly dark-headed).

From [livejournal.com profile] hobbit_eyes: The Loinfire Club sporks Twilight. I will take issue with this part, however: "There's nothing even vaguely erotic about Bella's yearning. She's a good girl." Clearly, they have not gotten to the attempted teenage seduction and the dry-humping and the headboard-breaking yet.

You know what? People talking about whether they're going to see the movie--and in what spirit they're going--has made me wonder. I THINK IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER POLL!

My friend and I agreed to see it within the first few days of opening, and then we'll see it again together (we live 3 hours apart) and we'll have had time to fashion a drinking game and be able to bring on the lulz with more precision than ever.

I'm hoping for Twilight to show up at my local second-run theater so I can have buffalo wings and a pint while I LOL.
If not, I'll be happy with a matinee a couple weeks from now.

My roommate and I are taking some vodka and playing a drinking game.

Should be fun.

I can't even believe I'm saying it, but I am still undecided about seeing Twilight. I mean, I think it will be painful; but also fun. I don't want to give them my money; but I kinda want to participate in the lulz. I don't know anyone who'd want to go with me; but then, I'd be kinda ashamed to tell anyone I'm going anyway.

Oh, the dilemmas!

I wonder if the 'iconic' part might be the Jane Eyre remake that Ellen Page was rumoured for a while back. If they wanted an American name to ensure cross-continental appeal (like Becoming Jane) Kristen Stewart could certainly work...

Ouch, Stephenie Meyer's attitude in the unscripted... ugh. She completely flipped out and went on a tangent rant about the "what are you writing right now?" question. Jesus, woman, relax.

I don't know what it is, but whenever I watch her interviews it's like she has the biggest "greater than thou" attitude. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't mean to judge but... wow.

I'll be using the free movie tickets I earned at a rough cut screening of Australia to go see this, cause then I don't have to twitch at the idea of contributing money, even if I'm contributing to the number of asses in the seats.

I may go for the lulz? But only after opening weekend, given that I need not to contribute to it potentially not tanking. (Or I might just wait for a Rifftrax release after the DVD's out. Whatevs.)

Man, the shit that comes out on my birthday. I am sad.

...and by "NO" I mean "I think my girlfriend is going to make me go, just for the lulz".

I'm still sort of on the fence for this one.

I want to go, but the urge to snark will be too high. And I know there will be crazy Twilight fans in the audience who will likely rip me to pieces (literally) when I snark. But the lulz will be epic.

Basically it comes down to lulz or death. Perhaps if I wait a couple weeks...

I'm going with two coworkers, both have read all the books (except Midnight Sun), though I've only read the first two. We're going because we all want to go -- and we don't want to go alone, and we know we'll have a great time laughing. What cracks me up is that one woman is old enough to be my mother and the other is just a couple of years older than me. We're all really excited, I think because we have such low expectations.

Q: "Which scene were you most excited to see translated from book to screen?"

Smeyer: "...main one was the meadow...but in the end, the one, I dunno, I guess there was the most, what's the word? Like, delight... in seeing, was the baseball scene."

OMG, this explains so much about your writing and unimaginative word choice. CHAGRIN.

Every time I hear someone say they want to go to the movie, I remember the sneek peek bootlegs from Italy and the shrieking, and I just rock back and forth gently.

You forgot the ticky box of 'would go if I could find anyone to come with me'. Watching movies solo is no fun, plus this is definitely a situation that calls for safety in numbers.

Vampire ticky box is trying so hard to look fierce. *tickles it*

I love that RPattz always looks like, not only did he not brush his hair before he went out, but he also travelled through a hurricane, was trampled by wildebeests, jumped out of a plane and maybe moshed really hard at a rock concert on his way there.

But in addition to my poll response I must note that I am seeing it for free (legitimately free, I'm not buying a ticket to anything else or sneaking in, I have two free passes)...I know they will get money from someone, but it won't be from me, so idc!

I ticked 'refuse to give them money' and 'would never miss such lulz' (ETA: because I was torn between both and couldn't decide what to do) but reading the comments I heard people suggest you could buy a ticket for something else and I'm thinking I might do that. Now I am merely going to wait to hear if it is in fact lulz filled or veers into being painful (I have hopes that it will be more enjoyable if I don't have to actually read it, since I tried and found it too disturbing to go on. I hope the movie will filter that out somewhat). I just hope I can find someone who will also think it's hilarious to see it with (and maybe work out how I can get to the cinema without driving since if I drive I can't drink, woe.)

There was no ticky box for "..... um, I kind of enjoy the books in a guilty-pleasure kind of way. I'll go hide now." So I just went ahead and ticked "love the books" AND "LULZ" which works because those are both kind of true.

I'm disappointed. I thought I read "He finally loses his shirt" without seeing any of the details. And I was like, "Ooh, shirtless male!" *click*

I was going to see it on opening night (because, frankly, I can't resist this kind of lulz, and pissing off the teenage girls who think this is the BEST STUFF EVAR with my hysterical giggling at inappropriate times is totally worth $10...not to mention seeing the new Harry Potter trailer on the big screen >_>), but then decided to wait until my co-lawler (who is also my younger brother) is home for Thanksgiving so that I can have some modicum of protection against these scary people.

Of course, what said brother doesn't know is that I fully intend on attacking him with shimmer powder before we leave so that maybe some silly fans will think that he's Edward Cullen and he'll get a date or something. I'm only looking out for his best interests (and my own amusement).

I figure my choices are this: illegally download, wait until the cheapseats, or at least wait until after opening weekend. Now I would like to see it in a timely fashion so I will be able to read and get all the reactions. I'd rather see it in a theater because it's going to be a very pretty movie. However! After watching Death Note in a theater full of giggling fangirls I absolutely refuse to go when I think there will be obnoxious teenage fangirls there. I don't want to see them booing James or Jacob or Mike or anyone - it's too annoying. So I think I'll wait for an afternoon show sometime after opening weekend - cheaper, and all the kiddies will be in school. And I'll sneak in some water and some alcohol, because damn this movie is begging for a drinking game.

I think your next poll should be determining the official Twilight Drinking GAme.

I don't know if you've seen it already, but iTunes has the Twilight celebrity playlists up (all 8 of them! No KStew though). The best part is when Nikki Reed declares that Van Morrison's 'Madame Joy' will be the "theme song" to her and Kristen's wedding.

eta: Oh, and to answer the poll question, I'm going for the lulz, but with friends who are genuinely excited for the movie. I have promised to sit separately from them,

There is no ticky box for "I've thought RPattz was hot since HP and will go see anything in which an actor I think is hot appears, even if it's gawdawful dreck."

I've lost a lot of money that way.
