A very parenthetical mood

Aw! An anonymouse sent me virtual milk and cookies. And did I need them today. Today has not been a good day. Although y'all were a life-saver with my POTO question--what I wanted to do for the annotations was take my favorite chapter (the one where Christine sits Raoul down and tells him, in flashback, the scenes that basically make up "Phantom of the Opera" and "Music of the Night," but in a vastly different tone. In the book, it is blood-curdling) and footnote that as well. You know, as a bonus feature. And since the novel's in the public domain, I can legally do it. And I got all of that out of the way today, amazingly. So at least that was productive.

I'm kind of not having a very good day other than that, though. Like, nauseated with tension. That kind of thing.

By the way, yes, here is the Twilight Script reimagined from MSN. I love y'all, but please stop sending it to me. (I know, I know. I'm sorry. I'm just sick with anxiety, is all.)

(Yes, I saw 'Twilight' actor open to 'Doctor Who' role, which basically translates to, "Hey, you're British! Would you ever play the Doctor?" "I LOVE DOCTOR WHO!" Aw.)

(This is the best thing ever. Just watch it. "Are we still getting married this Friday?")

(Oh God, the seven-year-old girl story is so much more horrifying the way he tells it himself.)

(Ever wondered what "Run, Bella, Run (Stay, Bella, Stay)" would sound like? Now you know, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] ftsor.)

HEY IN CASE YOU MISSED IT THERE IS A NEW WATCHMEN TRAILER, JUST SO YOU KNOW.

Yurei Urie is the artist behind the unsettling Little Apple Dolls. They all have big dark eyes, no mouth, and carry an apple. Stores are chronically out of stock, but you can find some editions at Amazon.

Bella Swann, is that you?

I read the link about Robert Pattinson maybe being the next Doctor Who, and now I'm scared. Sorry to any Twilight fans out there, but, um, no! Again, sorry, but I don't think he's very good-looking, and adding Twilight fans to the Doctor Who fans would be a Bad Idea. Not to mention, I personally would boycott the show until they switched actors again. (I'd still watch the ones with David Tennant, though... ;) ).
Sorry if I offended anybody... but, then, if I did, I'm not real sure I care... (NOT a Twilight fan...)

Does the Full Moon Really Make People Crazy?

It totally does. I see it each month in the middle schools where I teach. I dread them.

Yeah, I don't think it's a possibility in any way. It was just a random, unfounded question to ask him.

You think he'd stay in college, or be a street kid. It'd be way cooler. But I think the whole concept of it is: He's like an addict. I think he wants to make his life really, really, really boring.

Oh, RPattz.

GUILLERMO PINOCCHIO MOVIE WHAT WHY WASN'T I INFORMED OMG THAT COULD LOOK SO STUPIDLY GOOD AAAAAH *designgasms*

I feel slightly ashamed that I'm commenting on that and not the utter amazing sensation that is a potential cure for AIDs. WHAT. OMG. PLEASE BE FEASIBLE AND REPEATABLE. HOW MANY AMAZING THINGS WILL I BE SEEING IN MY LIFETIME?

the one where Christine sits Raoul down and tells him, in flashback, the scenes that basically make up "Phantom of the Opera" and "Music of the Night," but in a vastly different tone. In the book, it is blood-curdling

That is my absolute favorite part of the book. I can't read it at night, it makes me scared to go to sleep.

"In the context of the story he starts off as one thing, becomes the guise of another and then has to retire to the forest to resume his name Robin," [Scott] explained. "So he was momentarily the Sheriff of Nottingham."

So...are people going to be standing around going "where's the Sheriff? He was supposed to be here" and then he'll run in going "sorry I'm late, what'd I miss?" and they'll be like "no problem, hey where did you get those green tights?" Is he saying that the Sheriff of Nottingham is the Clark Kent to Robin Hood's Superman?

Also: I now have Run Bella Run stuck in my head.

Also also: Doctors say marrow transplant may have cured AIDS. Fingers and toes crossed.

See, that's the guy's magic. It's not that he's omg superhawt, it's that he's hilarious and adorable and you want to, like, hide him somewhere while the hordes go charging past and then go get him a beer or something.

Speaking of Hugh Jackman, did you see the story about him peeing his pants onstage a long time ago?

[identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com 2008-11-14 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that bothered me too. I was like, are you just laughing at everything he says because you think he's hot and you're trying to flirt or something? What he just told you was HORRIFYING, HELLO.

I just have to tell you this. It is too insane.

My school is having a raffle held where if you check out a book you get entered to win a ticket to the movie or something... >.> Like people should need a motivation to check out books. Especially Twilight! Grrrr

Oh, and I don't watch Doctor Who, I've only seen one episode, but David Tennant > RPatzz any day :P

I'm tired and I'm going to bed now :) Hopefully I can survive another bout of Twilight mania at my school tomorrow... wish me luck! Esp. for next Friday when the movie comes out!

The cure for AIDS thing only works if you don't mind killing a whole bunch of your patients (30% death rate from the surgery alone). Also, since those that survive would have to be on immune suppressant drugs, they would be immune-compromised - just like AIDS! As AIDS is becoming more of a chronic disease, manageable in the long term, "cures" like this would be incredibly risky for little to no gain. Essentially a person would be AIDS-free but not be any better off, and possibly dead much sooner.

In conclusion, bad idea jeans.
