San Francisco DID happen, five hundred people got in (ah, so the cancellation was a very cunning plan) and Twatlight got a signed poster. I'm sure more will come out as people stagger home.

Tomorrow: Dallas. Let's hope they're prepared.

There is NO WAY I'm braving the Dallas crowd tomorrow, but I have a couple of friends who are, so I can report on it throughout the day.

I'm terrified.

Y'all be safe out there. I am serious--that girl got her nose broken.

Also, I am waiting for epic bitchery from the 2,500 fans who DIDN'T get in, possibly because they gave up and went home before the event was put back on.

I have a friend who is taking off from work tomorrow to brave the Dallas crowds. She and another friend of mine are joking that her plan is to ask Robert to rub her t-shirt all over his body, rather than sign it. So she can take his smell with her. And sleep with it at night.

...Yeah.

Ahaha I saw the leaked trailer when you posted it, and it was fun explaining it to my Twilight-hating friends.

"Yeah, he was climbing it."
"WTF."
"Exactly."

"And she said it."

See, now they'll never believe it when someone cancels an event. *shudder* Seriously, the news that they're coming to PA terrifies me. I don't live by King of Prussia, but this is all merely horrifying rather than terrifying when the ravening hordes are in another state.

I love that we in California and SF have managed to have so many protests, demonstrations, and marches this week that were all completely peaceful and organized.

But RPattz come town? Total riot, the police have to come break things up, and the big group o'fangirls just have to eat each other.

A part of me hates that I had to miss it today, another part of me's glad I wasn't there because I like my nose where it is, and the other part of has to giggle. Thus behold the power of Rpattz's hair.

Report from Dallas: It's two in the morning, and the Dallas Galleria isn't letting anyone on the property until 5:30am. So what are people doing? HANGING OUT UNDER A BRIDGE INSTEAD. My friend is there - she reports that there are about 40 people in front of her.

Ok Cleo I have returned unharmed! Just posted a big report on my LJ. No pics yet cuz it rained - HARD - and I was hiding the camera bag under my jacket and huddled under some kind soul's umbrella. Yes we were all soaked through. I wish I could have gotten pics of that cuz damn that is some commitment to sparkle motion there.

Didn't get a wrist band myself but ah well. I'll be headed back up tonight for the Q&A and will have vid and pics of that. Long story short - everyone handled it very well, there was limited pushing and shoving, no injuries that I know of, and the mall employees and cops really did a good job.

More later!

hey, that was me that got the poster signed. We were in the clusterfuck for about 20 hours. it was the most poorly handled event i have ever had the misfortune to be a part of, and i blame both hot topic and the mall, although i feel a little better toward hot topic because we got to meet him.

So how was it? Did he, in fact, smell like rainbows and ponies and cake? Was The Hair in a good mood?

Do we know how dangerous the Jacob and the Bad Vamps locations are? My friend works at the mall they're coming to in Denver and has decided that she MUST BE THERE. I'm beginning to worry about her health. Not only is she willingly entering potential mob zones, she's bought EVERY magazine that exists in regards to Twilight... It's a bit terrifying. I'm about ready to stage an intervention!

From: [identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com
I have not heard a single word about Seattle last night. Not even from people who went. Not even on Twilight Lexicon (granted, I didn't delve into their boards or anything). I mean, I'm assuming SOMEONE had to have gone. I don't want to be responsible for your friend dying in a fiery fangirl meltdown, but... I suspect that Jacob and the Bad Vamps will be easier to get into.

Apparently one of my friends went there and actually waited in line and got the poster. She really likes Twilight. I asked her about how it was, and she said: "actually a short woman i heard [in response to me asking about someone breaking their nose]. also heard a girl had an asthma attack and fainted. that was all early in the morning though, and it mellowed out in the afternoon, but it was pretty darn crazy when he was in the store. i feel bad for him, the screaming fans were quite terrifying. "

Man, even she feels sorry for RPatzz and she has how she was "dazzled" by him in her status.
