Ah, my eyelid twitch is returning.

And yes, in case you missed the previous entry: "OME" really does stand for "Oh my Edward." Like, not "OMG"... OME. I'm not making it up (am I ever making it up?).

There's a little more Twi-spam, but I'm holding it over for tomorrow. I'm not saying I'm going to do a separate Twilight entry every day (what do I look like, MTV?). I'm just saying that... where there is crazy, I will be there. And I kind of want to see how insane the Planet Hollywood thing turns out to be.

Oh, goddammit. I first discovered FM when I was 8, and it shaped my love of horror movies and TV and books ever since. In 2003, I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Ackerman at that year's World Horror Convention in Kansas City. We shelled out the extra bucks to have breakfast with him that morning and found him intelligent, charming, soft-spoken, polite, and full of wonderful stories. I am really, really going to miss him.

I bought my Twilight tickets tonight! Fandango was malfunctioning, so since I was in the area anyway I stopped by the theater and asked the worker if they were on sale there yet. She sort of gave me a wide-eyed look of, "Dear God, they're coming already?" and confirmed that they are. I have my tickets and my glitter, and am now prepared for the insanity. I'm just wondering how early I have to be there to make sure my friend and I get to sit together..

I am going to take many videos of the hoards of Twilighters, and try and figure out how to post them directly to LJ.. If such a thing can be done. I have internet on my phone, but since I don't have it in a package it is expensive.. But by god, I think this is as good a time as any to splurge on it! In any case, I'll likely be putting the videos on YouTube when I get home, to share the insanity with you all.

That's the look my hubby and I would get from people at our local theater when asking about U2-3D tickets back when that was coming out. Isn't it nice to be part of a fandom? :)

I was excited to hear about Gregory Maguire's new book about Oz, but also a little disappointed. I was hoping that he would have continued the story from Son of a Witch. After I finished reading it, I felt that it was screaming to be continued.

Oh well. Back to the election results. I hope your eye stops twitching.

Shpff. Those are all crazy, crazy tri-state area Twilighters.

P.S. You couldn't get me to go to Times Square today, but the Apple Store craziness messed up my NYU bus. I got to class late because of them. It was like Will Smith's shit all over again.

Very sad news about Mr. Ackerman.

Never heard a bad word about the guy, which in sci-fi is saying something.

I'm not even watching Heroes anymore. I used to love it, but now... It's like some kind of supernatural soap opera.
Did you ever read Wicked? Or the sequel? I'm on the fence on buying it.

oh god... your uwe boll slot?

I watchd that movie... Lake Bell and Paul Rudd were ok... it was Eva Longoria that was the wtf casting on that!!

It was like... an ok romcom movie but wtf Eva doing there? she's the one who ruined the tone of the movie and etc. Not Paul or Lake.

I can see why Paul doesn't think much of himself in it but it says a lot that Paul and Lake just doing what they can = SO MUCH better than Eva and it was supposed to be about HER.

Have you see "I could never be your woman" yet? OMIGOd Paul had me in stitches, he gets to exercise his comedic talent in a way no movie has ever let him do before. HE is real comedy!! Pfeiffer was great but admittedly though it was exactly what the role called for... odd to see her acting and dressing like a 29 yr old. but I love her for having the guts to do it anyways.

Twilight Stuff...

Hello! I follow your blog as it amuses me terribly, and there's all kinds of good geekdom to be had here. (And anyone with a tag called asshaberdashery is all right with me.)

This is kindof an ad, so if you deem it inappropriate for me to ask, it's cool; I'll not bug you about work stuff anymore. I won't post my link here (it's on my userinfo) to make it a little less of a plug. ^_^

My husband and I print t-shirts for a living. Geeky, fandom stuff. We were mostly anime, but have branched off more into gaming and new sci-fi right now, and want to branch out further. I've seen a LOT of Twlight-related shirts at Hot Topic, but they seem kinda desperate, if that makes sense. Like fans would buy them because they're the ONLY Twilight shirts out there, not that they're particularly witty. Maybe the fandom is lost on me, and Twilight isn't made for wit. Being a vamp fan, I plan to go see the movie, and will probably glean some ideas, but do you as a die-hard fan have any suggestions for fun Twilight-related shirts? We don't do licensing - strictly parody. It's obviously going to be a big thing, as I see con kids wearing the logo all over the place.

Thoughts? ^_^ Thanks.

I have no idea if you've seen this before, but a friend of mine came across this while I was looking over her shoulder and I nearly fell out of my chair because of the awesomeness. You've seen the plush diseases, but have you seen the plush guts (http://iheartguts.com/)? There's a brain, lungs, kidney, liver, and yes, even a uterus (which I am totally getting my mother for Christmas).

I think my favorite part is from the About page, where they say, "Don't know what gift says, 'Hope you're feeling okay after that gallbladder surgery'? or 'I'm really worried about your liver'? or 'Thank you so much for giving me your kidney?' How about a snuggly plush gallbladder? Or a fluffy happy liver? Or a cuddly kidney?" :-D
