So tired
Aw, hell. I've been sneezing a lot lately, and then today I came down with these weird alternating hot and cold spells. I don't know that I'm running an actual fever, but it sucks either way. It's probably allergies. But still--I am determined to not go into the month of October without finishing the annotated Fifteen Minutes thing because I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON IT LONG ENOUGH NOW, GOD. I have got to move on with life at some point.
(That's frustration with myself talking there, by the way.)
("Are you feeling guilty? YEAH YOU ARE!")
By the way, I'm recording another--different--podcast on Saturday, which should be fun. General subject: vampires in the media. Doing speaky-speaky stuff like this seems to help my confidence, so I'm going with it. Someday, I may actually bring myself to be sociable in real life, my God!

Midnight hour will usher in Paolini's latest. This Saturday? Huh. Didn't know it was coming out so soon. Although, the fact that the Eragon movie came and went without a ripple suggests that it's too late for that.)

Listen, I will watch The Real World/Road Rules Challenge until the day I die. Big, hot dudes with their shirts off yelling at each other and getting drunk? For some reason, that never gets old. Like, I will watch CT take his shirt off and yell at somebody all fucking day. If there was a channel that was just that, I would watch it.Also: Prince's Swear Jar.

Megan Fox Plays Herself in 'How to Lose Friends' but Does She Know It?
I can't be sure what to think of Megan Fox. She obviously knows she is treated as a piece of meat in the industry. She admits to loving comic book films and says, "If I get stuck doing comic-book films for the rest of my life, I'll be really happy... I love those types of movies. And I don't mind being sexy--if it's a character with a backstory and an arc and something progresses."Okay, I lol'd.
Does this mean we should expect some major character arc in Transformers 2?
"Transformers 2 is directed by Michael Bay," she says.

We were just talking about that this morning! A friend of mine finished the series recently.
Does this mean we should expect some major character arc in Transformers 2?
"Transformers 2 is directed by Michael Bay," she says.
Haaaaaa ha ha ha.
Looper is set in a present-day world in which a group of hitmen are sent their victims from the future.
Okay, that...is new. Perhaps hilarious and awesome?
'Beverly Hills Ninja 2' in the Works.

As soon as I read that, my thoughts for some reason immediately went to Emmy Rossum, and I flashed back to seeing her in "Phantom of the Opera."
Suddenly, Keira Knightley didn't seem so bad.

But honestly, I wish they'd just leave it alone. When has remaking a movie ever turned out well?

The Magnificent Seven? And I admit I kind of liked the Freaky Friday remake, too. *is ashamed* And didn't Hitchcock remake his own The Man Who Knew Too Much? I have no idea which version is better, though. Ocean's Eleven was a remake, too, and it was quite decent.
That said, no, there's no reason for a remake of My Fair Lady, but I've sort of resigned myself to it. At least it's going to be a movie musical with excellent source material, unlike certain others I can name from the recent crop.

I guess I was thinking of Gus Van Sant's ill-advised, shot-for-shot remake of Psycho.
I know they won't do a carbon copy of the original MFL, but how much can they re-imagine it without destroying it?
P.S. When did they remake The Magnificent Seven?

So I IMDB-ed it, and lo, they did, about ten years ago...as a TV show.
Oy.

Can Knightley do a cockey accent? I think I've only ever heard her use her own more poshish accent. Which isn't even as important as her ability to sing. Unless they got someone for her to lip-synch too, but I think that's considered taboo these days.

I almost spit Crystal Lite ALL OVER my laptop (good thing I didn't: my baby is sensitive these days).
Srsly? I mean...AF was entertaining. But...Hitchhiker's is so massive! I'm not sure it can ever be done. Also, he's basically asking for nasty mail and reviews. People like me will hate anything he comes up with. No matter how awesome it actually is. We're just annoyingly devoted like that.

MUCH LOLZ ABOUT THE HARRY POTTER EFFECT. Obviously the future of teenager reading habits hinges on JKR's ability to pump out the textual heroin. Otherwise, SWOOSH, there goes literacy and Nerdfighter recruits!

Then again, I've never seen his movies, and I don't even like his brand of comedy. (He yells and shrieks too much. It's like he has to act outrageous to be funny, which seems to be the case to me. A drunken frat boy! That is what I was aiming for. He has a few jokes I've laughed at, but not many.)
